Thanks for the video man. I love learning more about outboards. Plus you area regular guy and very relatable. I am now a new subscriber.

I'd like to see what the compression is now that you have it running.

You can polish your hammer faces to prevent the hammer from transferring whatever dings or scratches on its face to metal parts you hit with it. Don’t know how useful it would be for this application but i bet there are some parts that could do with a little less marring. Free tech tip of the day

you wouldn't happen to have the old manual for that by chance?

I don’t have the specific manual for it. But I may have the general clymer manual for that set of years. What info do you need?

60 PSI is on the low side. Ive repaired and owned many of these. Mine have all been at 90psi and they run very well on 90psi. 60psi it will run but not have near the power it should have and can be hard starting.

100% agree! But sometimes you work with what you have, it will at least run on 60. Should tick up a bit after running awhile too, had been sitting for quite a while

Those little 3 or 3.5hp are gems! And I think they’re massively under rated on the hp. I fixed a 59 3hp and I could go 5mph on a 16 foot flat bottom! Great motors
