2023 Salt Lake City STS Major | In System Highlights

Etienne and I travelled to Salt Lake City, Utah to try and repeat the first place finish we had last year at the Salt Lake City STS Challenger event. Where Etienne and I took down Kingdom Come (Cole/Klapwijk) and Double Sauce (Murthy/Plett) to take first. Only this time there was much bigger stakes due to the tournament being the 2nd out of 5 Major tournaments throughout the season. We ended up in a solid power pool facing Spotless (Bondi/Gross), Assistive Touch (Hammon/Marshall) and Cigar Boys (Abrams/Laughlin). Splitting games 1-1 with all teams in pool play. We ended up getting the 3rd seed in the tournament. We ended up facing a very tough team in the Quarterfinals NotOk Roundnet (Clifford/Plaisted) who we beat in two very tight games 21-19, 22-20. Then we met up with the deadly mashup of TRP Moneyline (Rivadeneyra/Cole) in the Semis. We lost 21-18, 21-15. Etienne and I pushed through to the very end and wanted that 3rd place and pro bid for STS Nationals. We took down Bad Combo (Picone/Murthy) 21-19, 10-3 (due to forfeit). Overall wild day and still chasing for better results. See you in Philly!
