We were learning about the revolutionary war and as we were sitting down my history teacher would show us a song pertaining to that time. Then she started playing "My Shot"/"Alexander Hamilton" over and over and I searched it up after school and addicted
I knew about the hype of Hamilton but never was into it. During the Revolutionary War Unit, my history teacher would bring up Hamilton and his achievements and some boys would start singing random songs from hamilton. So I thought I'd check it out and here I am
I know. In this day and age of so much cynicism...plus he is so talented and has done so much...tons of awards, including a Pulitzer Prize -- yet, he seems so pure, unaffected, enthusiastic and "normal." Miranda is one of my family names, on my father's side (aunts and cousins), and I fantasize that I am RELATED to him! LOL!
Considering tickets were minimum $400 and most people I've heard of talking about have been saying "I WISH I could see it live!" I don't think that's true. Unless, of course, you are an A- list celebrity then yes, you might be the only one who hasn't seen it live.
I'm excited!! We had Hamilton portrayed in my local Hale center theater but the prices were expensive so I couldn't go so now I can watch Hamilton for way cheaper on disney plus
I am so happy that this masterpiece is going to be in Disney. As a German I just don't have a Chance to go to Brodway (Im a Student, so I cant afford Tickets, Hotel...). But I really like his work and the cast playing. And I really admire Mr. Miranda not just bc of his talent, but also bc of his personality. He is so nice and down-to-earth. I wish I can meet him someday, at a stage or as himself.
Americans are better at making tea in a harbour, but you guys are better at pretty much everything else, including making tea. (people here MICROWAVE the water)
Lin is one of the best songwriters of the decade. Seriously, In the Heights, 21 chump Street, Hamilton, are like...masterpieces. His lyrics can be so many things, he can be funny and happy like...in 96000 in Heights, but...extremely sad like in It's quiet uptown, and sometimes he even change the feeling of the song in like...minutes. He's amazing.
Saw it twice on Broadway, once with the original company. I don't care if you take away that brag at 1:33. I'm excited to share this with others so that they know what an amazing show this is.

I was lucky enough to get a great deal on Black Friday for great seats. I took my teenage boys to see it live in San Francisco the end of January. Makes us want to see the original cast even more. I’ve been listening to the soundtrack on repeat.
I'm excited to watch the full musical and not listening to random kids singing the songs. This is what got me into the Revolutionary war, its leaders, and I even found ancestors who were Patriots!!
