That is a great topic on these snake racking systems
Thanks for the insight and opinion.
Very welcome!!
On the ARS rack with the tub that is hard to slide in and out, check the ground screw on the heat panel. If it is sitting on the rail it will raise the heat panel up enough to push up on the tub. Simply pull up the heat panel and slide it over so the screw is no longer resting on the rail.
So I’ve noticed that the ARS tubs tend to be more difficult to slide in and out when they’re new as opposed to when they’re worn in a bit. I’ll also say, the tolerance on the ARS rails leaves little to be desired and is far from consistent. I’ve built 4 now (1070, 5040, 5540 & 7030) and the 5540 & 7030 slide beautifully (7030 has the softer plastic tubs and 5540 the harder ones) but the 1070 has a lot of wiggle room for the tubs on some levels. The 5040 has the opposite problem, where the majority of them are very stiff and do not slide smoothly. I’ve triple checked my hole alignment and have chalked it up to inconsistent manufacturing, which is super annoying to me. Also, the magnets won’t stick to stainless steel which is what those fb replacement clips are made of
Yep, absolutely. I hav noticed this inconcistency between some of their different models
The freedom breeder tubs sound perfect if they just fix the water bowls.
100%
Great job on the video btw! 🙌🏻
I appreciate that!
Based on where the sliders end I'd think the bins on the FB racks also slide out further than with ARS?
I have not noticed, but that would make sense yes
No PVC or Melamine? lol jk
NO MORE lol
