This self duet is amazing, the two voices are unique enough that they feel separate, I especially love the parts where one is going fast and one is taking the slower part
I don’t remember Holy ever being used though I remember Aerith made it but then I don’t remember any sign of it being used before or during the final battle.
@@GODOFAWSOMENESS1 Holy is cast, but Sephiroth is holding it back. You don't see it in action until the _very end_ of the game, in a cutscene after you beat him. It's not enough, though, and the destruction between the two spells interfering with each other is almost worse than meteor alone. Then, the lifestream itself shows up to fix things.
All I can say is... this is EPIC! The Hero side is relentless, optimistic, because no matter what happens they WILL save the world! The Villain (Sephiroth) is calm, speaks in few words but perfectly displays his pessimistic views, terror is what this dying world needs... And of course the singing is in perfect sync and the voices even tho from the same guy, Alex, they are same and different enough to work nicely. And the singing has a flow as smooth as the stream of life....
Frankly the best duets can be done with oneself, because you probably have the same idea for how it should happen, and now how each other's voices work, because it's still your voice. So to put it bluntly, you don't need others, a duet is possible nd better with just you and the power of editing!
0:53 since so many lyrics are coming out on the life side and the death only says like three, I imagine it representing all the worlds heroes fighting the single powerful bad ass villain.
Aah, this was absolutely marvelous!!! Really a great way to start my morning :D You truly did a fantastic job with the duet! The two voices flowed well and added an exciting, upbeat element to the song As always, I look forward to future videos, and I hope everyone has a wonderful day :)
The lyrical implementation of this song has secured my interest in this channel. I would greatly appreciate a new version of which the singer showcases their updated and improved skill in the presentation of this song.
The stream of life flows on~~ Just. Thank you. This made me smile to see the patreon notification (and then made me sad when I had no data to check it while out of town) and now I'm super late... But I've listened to this over and over again already. Ffvii has a special place in my heart (the first major Fandom I got into really, tho I was like a decade late to it) and this was such a fun lyrical adaptation to a song i wouldn't quite expect one for, but it worked out wonderfully. The idea to have dual complementary parts was super fun, especially since they are embodying life and death which is really the only two choices when a battle begins. I'd love to hear more from 7 if you muse takes you that way (tho I have to admit I agree with your point that One winged angel has lyrics already xD) or even other songs from the FF-verse. ... Or. Just keep surprising me. That works too. It's be a fun ride so far :D
OMG! You are so talented! This was the first RPG I played when I was younger and I was nearly tearing up from the memories. The lyrics just add to the music. I loved the 'Undertale The Musical' series and I love this too. Amazing XD
I can imagine this in a musical, where a protagonist is trying to save the planet, but then am antagonist stops them. And they fight. By singing. CUE DUET FOR THE PLANET
A most amazing and epic theme... until you realize that the fight displayed is borderline massacre as Cloud one shots two hopelessly outmatched soldiers.
This was great, the lyrics were fitting thematically and it was wonderfully sung, but I'm pretty sure me watching it was a mistake. I can already tell I'm not gonna be able to unhear these lyrics whenever I play FFVII and this song is playing from now on. Dammit, hundreds of hours of battle with this song looping forevermore...
Love the lyrics and the whole premise, though feels like your voice is just a bit too upfront and harsh vs the backing track? Still sounds bloody good though
I like your undetale musical more as you use your musical range more in them. It does fit the battle theme, but I believe that other themes (like Cosmo Canyon or the Midgar theme) would lend itself more to your considerable skills.
I've never played a final fantasy game, but this is honestly my favorite battle theme that's not, y'know, for a boss, and, if you allow people to cover songs with the lyrics you made, is it okay if I cover this one day once I build up the confidence to cover songs?
Okay, two song ideas for you; 1. I NEED a cover of Battle on the Big Bridge! 2. Something To Protect from FF9. I already have a chorus you could use; "Hail Alexandria, And hail our fair queen! Fight for Alexandria, That she may reign supreme! Hail Alexandria, All shall genuflect Bow to Alexandria, To the kingdom I swore to protect!" I also recommend using the Dissidia version for it, because at the part where it's soft piano, it could have Garnet sing "Hail Alexander, Hail our one true king, Fight, Alexander, Our creator supreme" before going back to the second half of the first chorus (which is sung by Beatrix, of course).
Good lyrics that compliment the story. Try to get square to use these lyrics for the end game credits on the remake. They'd probably have a professional singer/s do it but you could maybe reap some royalties?
not so much a request, more of a suggestion. eh nah, i wont even do that. i'ts interesting seeing what you will come out with next. you do a pretty good job too.
I took your song and put it on top of the remasters version of let the battles begin From the new final fantasy 7 remake But I want your permission to post it
I wonder if it would've sounded a little bit better with a second female singer singing the top lyrics. Other than that, the lyrics are good, the pace is alright. I like an appreciate it.
I watched a (near-complete) real life playthrough of this game, the graphics are terrible, but it's good. And my goodness the final boss music is amazing.
This self duet is amazing, the two voices are unique enough that they feel separate, I especially love the parts where one is going fast and one is taking the slower part
I like to think the lyrics on top refer to Cloud while the bottom lyrics refer to Sephiroth. Love this song! :D
That works scarily well
I assumed that as well.
Well Sephiroth is trying to use meteor.
I don’t remember Holy ever being used though I remember Aerith made it but then I don’t remember any sign of it being used before or during the final battle.

I have

Yeah haven't you ever heard zoidberg sing in harmony with himself
What do you mean people who feel/are lonely or have a lot/too much free time does that some times.
I tried singing this song in chorus on my own. It didn’t end well

*You got the “melody” materia!*
I love it. We need a remastered Version

You turned my horrible day into a much better one. Thanks MOTI, I appreciate this!
A most amazing and epic theme... until you realize that the fight displayed is borderline massacre as Cloud one shots two hopelessly outmatched soldiers.
I'm going to be brutally honest...that was amazing.
_WHEN THIS UPLOADED, I SCREAMED-_
God Alex, you do the best covers. Great addition to your record of awesomeness.
How did I miss this? I was scrolling through your uploads and saw this. I have no idea how I missed this when it was uploaded.

Love the lyrics and the whole premise, though feels like your voice is just a bit too upfront and harsh vs the backing track? Still sounds bloody good though
I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy VII, but this sounds really good! I could listen to this and many of your covers all day if I was able to👍
Anyone else want to hear their interpretation of M&L Dream Team battle theme (that's a mouthful)
The Magnificent Wallace that would be cool

I love this! Keep being ridiculously amazing!
This is better than I could've ever hoped.
Bravo! Bravo! Amazing lyrics to go with amazing musical piece from a great game. Really amazing.
Wow this was unexpected and great.

I just got chills when you started singing. spot on!
i absolutely love this, once again youve done an astounding job!
This is so good! And I know like the Zelda and splatoon one imma listen to this over and over again.
... I would watch the shit out of a FF7 musical.
Man, could you imagine him doing a *remake* of this song for the ff7's remake of let the battles begin, it'd be amazing
this is really nice great job, as always ;)
Please a remaster version of this
This would be an awesome song for the battle between Cloud vs Rufus Shinra in an hypothetical Final Fantasy VII musical.
Álvaro Sánchez This would more fit as a theme for a fight with cloud and sephirot. ;D
What about the flashback scene fights with sephy??
...HINT HINT...
FF MUSIC! Yes. Make a cover on the fanfare!
This is absolutely the best!
Exactly when I'm into FF (Thx very much)

Oh a new video game song let me comment something "original" FF7 the musical?
I'm surprisingly early. Early enough for the likes to not be over 100 yet. And comments over 50.
Can you do J-e-n-o-v-a, birth of a god, or still more fighting/still they fight on(the black mages version)?
Any possibility you could sing a song from Hamilton? All of your voices are amazing and I am sure they would fit with a cover of a Hamilton song.

Not the most endeering voice. Works for the villain lines.
A very clever song. I enjoy something with a fun twist to it.
