    I picked it up out of principle. Watching your previews with Raul way back when and seeing him come to tears when he explained his passion for flight and his experiences growing up just warmed my heart.
    He's not only a great developer, he's also a great human being and I hope to see more devs learn from him on not only how to harness their passion but also how to embrace this community.

    I don't understand the hate going on in the comments. People complaining about a flight model without having flown the aircraft in real life. Personally I love everything about this aircraft and as far as I'm concerned, this review is spot on.

      You are wrong my friend. You absolutely don't need real time on a plane to be able to tell it doesn't behave realistically, especially if it's way off. In case of MSFS, it usually is.

      @@davidtsw well not really. No two planes behave identically. I agree that there’s a common theme in the sim where many planes behave in “the Asobo way”, but this certainly isn’t one of them. The behaviour of this plane is pretty unique

      Behaving like the actual airplane isn’t the point, exactly no airplanes are twitchy like this one in real life. The flight model is broken.
      The way the airplane flies doesn’t jive with real world physics.

    Absolutely love this plane and FSReborn! Raul cares a great deal about his products and the community, and it shows with both of his aircraft!!! From the systems integration, to the sounds, and handling, I completely agree with your assessment TTM!!! As a kid, I always had a crush on this plane, and to see it brought to the sim in such high fidelity, I am truly on cloud 9!!!

    I am a lowly sport pilot (I think equivalent to a microlight pilot in EU) and am really loving FSreborn’s Sting, in combination with SayIntentions ATC, a perfect combination for learning/reviewing VFR flying. Solid 120 knots ground speed, modern avionics. Next step for me is the steam gauge Black Square Bonanza that I’ve flown a bit, but the FSR500 looks like a logical next step after that. Hmm… your accent increases SUBSTANTIALLY during live flights vs reviews. Hey I’m with you-when I return to Texas to visit relatives, HELL YAYUH the accent kicks in. Great stuff, keep up the good work.

    I personally have no affiliation to any developer nor product, my motives are just to seek the best aircraft available for my favourite sim. The FSR500 is hands down a masterpiece and a must have for any hangar based on my experience and enjoyment levels using it (yes in comparison to the TBM 850 and COWS DA). I feel it is splitting hairs trying to compare this with the Comanche - it’s that good. FSR have done a great job. Could it be improved yes, but so can every release. I have to call into question the motives behind some of the keyboard warriors on here.

    • @joshuaspop8865
      @joshuaspop8865 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You mentioning this airplane along with the Comanche does a disservice to anyone that comes here looking for buying advice.
      It’s a very nice airplane, with lots of nice features, but the flight model is simply broken. There is a guy who doesn’t want to be named due to some of his communication with this particular developer, who does a really good job fixing flight models. he did some fixes with this one, and it made it a lot better, but he said he could do no more because the issues in the model run too deep for him to mess with.
      If the gimmicks and graphics keep you interested in this airplane, then fair enough. But to come here and say it compares with a Comanche flight model wise, that’s bogus.
      There is no other primetime airplanes I can think of that gets this kind of feedback on the flight model.
      It’s nothing personal.

    • @gibboireland
      @gibboireland 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@joshuaspop8865 I am not here to defend anyone else or speak on their behalf. Just my own. If you re-read my comment, nowhere have I said the flight model compares to the Comanche. Nor should it - they are 2 very different aircraft.
      What I did say, which I object to you dismissing, is that my experience and enjoyment levels are just as much with this, as with other similiar releases. Its like splitting hairs. I think its also unfair to dismiss what you get with this product as gimmicks - the truth is that the extras such as the vehicles, EFB, cam auto views and even pillows are innovations not seen before in MSFS, that add to the experience which I appreciate.
      Your views are clearly different and you've made your point over and over, leading me to think there's a bias here, but either way, I have no interest or need to try to change them, so best to leave it there.

    • @joshuaspop8865
      @joshuaspop8865 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gibboireland fair enough. We were specifically discussing the flight model, so I assumed.
      I can understand how you think I’m biased, but I’m really not. Many people have tried to reason with a developer and got pretty awful feedback. However, recently, it was announced a major flight model update was in the works. So, without admitting it, the upcoming flight model update pretty much says it all.

      ***FSReborn FSR500 (C)***
      What I've done:
      - hugely increased inertia around all axes
      - hugely decreased elevator responsiveness and effectiveness to reduce pitch twitchiness, particularly at takeoff, landing, and stalls
      - increased prop drag
      - reduced ground effect by half
      - decreased power at idle. No more rolling away and you'll now slow down once you come off power
      - increased induced drag
      - increased fuselage side area
      - massively reduced main/nosewheel friction
      - adjusted crosswind effect
      - increased icing to 400%
      I've tested controllability up to 20+ knots dead crosswind on takeoff and landing. The further effect of making fly a little more real is the service ceiling has massively reduced. It is right around 38k right now which may still be excessive but at least it's not 70k+

      Yes very, on the msfs forums but way more on his FsReborn discord channel, answering all questions, even the ones he really shouldn`t . But mostly he is waiting for SU15 to fully release before the new update, as the update will affect many changes he wants to incorporate such as the WASM structure on which the FSR500 G1000 suite, heavily relies on. He is also currently developing the Phenom300E

    Hello, thanks for the review. My opinion on the subject : 5 stars for the graphics. I don't really understand, the textures are not very evolved in my opinion, too immaculate.
    The 3D modeling is approximate and sometimes not finished, look at the landing gear (inside the hatch).
    The flight model, I don't know this plane in realistic but the ones I was able to fly did not react in this way in pitch and trim (the trim on FS 2020 is often very strange anyway), but the rest of the flight envelope is undoubtedly more accomplished. So I wouldn't have given it 5 stars at the moment.
    Otherwise, a lot of work from the dev and congratulations to him, it's a great job but it's not finished (there's a long-awaited update coming).

      NO!! This airplane has a deeply flawed flight model.
      The twitchiest one I’ve ever owned and it’s doesn’t stop there… There’s not fluidity to the way it flys, if that makes sense.
      In this category, the TBM 850 flight model is far ahead of this one.

    • @twotonemurphy
      @twotonemurphy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When FSReborn first started to work on this, the flight model was designed based on the POH and technical data from the real aircraft. That was before a number of pilots who actually fly this gave their input. For those pilots who are on the testing team they made significant changes that FSReborn replicated into the current flight model. I have not flown one in the real world - but based on the pilots feedback - they say it’s highly accurate
