the vibe Matt gives off both calms and discomforts everyone bc his voice chills you out but a metal artist with amazing posture (especially a les paul player) is unsettling
Now look at it like this - Matt has a relatively big forehead like Paolo ('cause Paolo's bald), and Alex and Corey have small foreheads, so they're kind of parallel placed actually, lol.
Eddie Hardt I know it’s been 9 months, but just try to play the riff over and over again. Until it becomes so second nature that you do it kind of unconsciously. Once you’re sick of it, it will be carved into your mind and you won’t forget it. Also, it helps if you record it with your phone
Ironic Callisto was one of their most difficult songs to track in that it's also one of my most listened to songs by them aside from Shogun itself. The intricacy of the song is what drew me to it to want to listen in the first place. It's evident, Trivium, you need to find harmony with studio difficulties, as, it directly translates into masterpiece music.
metfan4l I love that album it's my favorite album of them I love every single song and yea it makes me sad that some people didn't like The Crusade to me that was fucking sick ass Thrash music
I love it aswell but in an interview when in waves came out, so quite a while ago I read that they just weren't sure what to do and the chemistry between them wasn't good either
This was so awesome! It's pretty crazy to hear that the hardest song they've had to record was Like Callisto because that's my favorite song. Inspired me to buy a guitar and learn how to play which now, this song means a lot to me.
Man that riff is so amazing! When I first learned the rhythm part for that one I thought "jesus fucking christ why this is so fucking hard to play", and now I see even Matt had issues with it hahahah
It’s such a bummer that the guys are so cold on The Crusade. It’s one of my top five favorite records of all time from any band. It was a thrash powerhouse. Truth be told, Ignition is the first song I ever heard from Trivium, and I was immediately hooked. Not to mention that the tag team solos on Anthem and Entrance in particular are some of my all time favorite solos. And I know I’m gonna catch flak for this, but Travis’s drumming was absolutely phenomenal. I loved The Crusade from front to back. It’s one of a small handful of records that I can listen to from start to finish. It’s funny they mentioned Callisto too because that’s probably my favorite song off Shogun. Once again; thrashy as hell, and had a super groovy chorus. I met these guys once after a show at the Gothic in Denver in 2009 on the Into The Mouth of Hell we Tour with Whitechapel, Chimaira, and Dirge Within. It was right when they stopped playing Dean guitars. Corey was back to playing the King V and Matt was rocking the Les Paul. Corey and I talked guitars for a good 20 minutes. Awesome dudes, amazing musicians. These guys were definitely one of the bands that inspired me to buy a guitar.🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
nice job, Metal Injection! This is the first time i've actually watched an entire and have been intrigued by the different style of questions and came back to it more than once !
I love how corey has such a chill voice and then his screams are insane, I noticed his fret arm is way bigger than his strumming arm too 😂 Also love matts perfect posture at all times
Really liked The Crusade myself. Even though comments over the years have said it's their most "Trivtallica" album. I'd take it over Silence in the snow any day. "Tread the floods", "Entrance of the conflagration" are awesome to me.
For the album after Sin and the Sentence ideas: Super technical-y progressive album follow up to Shogun. Or a Djenty follow up to Shogun. Nothing but 8 strings. Or whatever you guys want, I'm not picky.
I don't think I've ever seen a bass player that talks more than the all other band members combined! When one of them is talking, the other three just stare at the floor, but sometimes even the one that's talking is staring at the floor, too! What the hell is there on that floor that's so engaging and hard to look away from?! :-) \m/
Callisto is my favorite Trivium song 🤣 I really wanna learn it on bass and then I hear Paolo say it’s the most difficult song he ever recorded (I also need a 5-string to play it though) 😭
Interesting that Callisto was one of the hardest ones to track. I found that the easiest song to play off there and even performed it at high school along with Down from the Sky. Songs like into the Mouth of Hell or Kirisute Gomen I found 100x more difficult.
Corey is slowly transforming into Mick Thompson :P
CrebleStar Don't forget his neck is rivaling that of Corpse Grinder. Lol.
Remember the days when slipknot hadn't been all unmasked? The rumor mill would have been whirring back then.
The sunglasses are missing
im sure hes like 1 foot shorter
oh man, that would be cool to think about
I love how even the band has something like a "Corey-riff", the dude's a god on guitar
Did anyone else find it funny how they all tend to look down like they got caught not doing their homework in school?
Well it would just look creepy if they stared at the camera the whole video :D
Matt was really like: 🫣
It was actually cute that moment they all mentioned Alex's ice cream habit.
the man loves his mint chip
My favorite thing about Trivium is Mr. Brown.
TCX Choi this.
agreed.
I followed Mr.Brown before i followed anyone on from trivium on IG lol
Matt's posture is so good it makes me uncomfortable
All yoga and jujitsu
It's actually extremely healthy for you to sit and walk with that posture
Also his dad is a marine and his mum is Japanese so total fucking discipline!
Perfect for diaphragmatic breath support, good vocal habits
the vibe Matt gives off both calms and discomforts everyone bc his voice chills you out but a metal artist with amazing posture (especially a les paul player) is unsettling
Well hell, now i wanna hear callisto played live.
Brandon Sage Shogun 10th anniversary tour maybe, since it's their Colors basically.
@@twilitsaenguani485 "their Colors" lol, respect to btbam
Paolo should have switched seats with Alex.
No hair, Less hair, Lesser hair, Most hair.
Now look at it like this - Matt has a relatively big forehead like Paolo ('cause Paolo's bald), and Alex and Corey have small foreheads, so they're kind of parallel placed actually, lol.
Agreed
😂🤣
I met Matt 8 years ago in Camden. He's exactly how he appears. Really cool humble guy.
Jersey?
@@unboxreacts7435 London
@@Guanjyn parallels! Haha. Camden in Jersey for me
@@unboxreacts7435 nice dude :)
Alex the sentient drum machine is like "most difficult song to track, what?"
LMAO
That must be fake, Matt didnt say he is a half japanese!!
Konstantin Nikolaev Kandev he is japanese
Replies to this comments are so far off the joke it's worrying for the human race
hahah! :D
lmao i wish everyone could get this
I almost didnt get it almost.. i am worried about myself
I can hardly play my own riffs, mainly because I can't remember what I made up
Eddie Hardt me too
Eddie Hardt I know it’s been 9 months, but just try to play the riff over and over again. Until it becomes so second nature that you do it kind of unconsciously. Once you’re sick of it, it will be carved into your mind and you won’t forget it. Also, it helps if you record it with your phone
Logic is a life saver for me. I hook up my guitar and record the riff, so I can't forget it
The Revanchist would've probably been a more badass album title in my opinion.
Holy fuck Corey talked during an interview??? Whaaaaaaaat?
and Matt talked over him every time xD
Hahah I love the unison "And a gallon of ice cream" by Matt and Corey when Alex said he could eat Sushi every day if he could.
Such a creamie boi
"70 or 80 guitars..." what the fuk
Kirk and James have over 800 guitars if i remember COREYctly!
Slash & Joe Perry have like over a thousand guitars each
+Marc Andrew Narimatsu (Marcu D.) billy gibbons gets about 15 new guitars each time on tour, bonamassa has like a million strats lol
Bullet For My Valentine- Matt Tuck
Avenged Sevenfold- Matt Shadows
Trivium- Matt Heafy
xXMAGGOTDEATHBATXx the holy trinity
Matthew is a very common name......so
@@subparyoutubechannel2868 if the holy trinity had one bad ass in it
No1 doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as no3
Paolo: I collect tickets from our flights on tour
Matt: I didn't know that
in Matt's head: *IF YOU LOVE ME LET ME GOOOOOOOOOOOO*

Makes me sad to hear them shit on the crusade album days a little bit nowadays, I really enjoyed that version of Trivium.
metfan4l I love that album it's my favorite album of them I love every single song and yea it makes me sad that some people didn't like The Crusade to me that was fucking sick ass Thrash music

I love it aswell but in an interview when in waves came out, so quite a while ago I read that they just weren't sure what to do and the chemistry between them wasn't good either
yeah thats m y 3rd favorite.
If they released it in 2007, it surely would be better. I like the songs too, but most of them are weak in the songwriting point.
Bruh the crusade was a great album
Fucking love this band. Such cool guys had the pleasure to meet them a few times. Cant wait for the album! \m/
Jamie Oglesby Oh, are you in an internationally touring band?
"The Wretchedness Inside" is my favorite song on the new album.
Is one of Corey's arms way bigger than the other, or is it just the camera angle?
XDKuro just the angle
I literally thought the same thing
Its strange because the bigger looking arm is his fret arm. Youd think his strumming arm would be bigger 😂
I think it’s amazing that the whole band talks not just the front man
Wow Shia labeouf is an amazing drummer ^^
Squid Ness TH-cam permanent holiday by Mike love - the drummer looks more like Shia than Alex
This was so awesome! It's pretty crazy to hear that the hardest song they've had to record was Like Callisto because that's my favorite song. Inspired me to buy a guitar and learn how to play which now, this song means a lot to me.
Dionis8534 Same here. I love playing that riff.
you are an idiot fool who knows nothing
Man that riff is so amazing! When I first learned the rhythm part for that one I thought "jesus fucking christ why this is so fucking hard to play", and now I see even Matt had issues with it hahahah
yeah man, still my fave on that album!. Still my favourite album too.
Love Trivium so much. It's a ritual for me to listen to them every day while working. It's amazing I never wreck my car .....

But what's Mr.Brown's least favourite song? 🤔
I love “The Rising”.
Shogun in my opinion was their best to date. But I also really enjoyed what they did on In Waves,
for me it's WRETCHEDNESS INSIDE, THAT BASS THE INTENSITY... ITS SO GOOD...
They're awesome!! Paolo is so cute, I love how he talks...
nice job, Metal Injection! This is the first time i've actually watched an entire and have been intrigued by the different style of questions and came back to it more than once !
the heart from your hate.....one of my all time favorite trivium songs....that riff just pumps me up!!
I love the whole Crusade album. It has some of the heaviest and most aggressive trivium songs on it. And The Rising was my jam for a while lol
I love how corey has such a chill voice and then his screams are insane, I noticed his fret arm is way bigger than his strumming arm too 😂 Also love matts perfect posture at all times

I love djent, but I would not be into a djent Trivium. I do think they could do wonders with 8-strings, though.
Rowschank i mean...................you're not wrong.
TakavaNirhii (near-eye) I'd just love to hear them try one, just to hear what it would sound like. Even just a one song thing, like Shattering.
James Brabham matter of opinion on that, I do believe
I love this band man.
I love hearing from the guys but I would love to hear more about/from Alex.
He's new, we'll hear more from him sooon enough
The song... Vengeance falls is a awesome under rated song
Smokin' K
I just got Vengeance Falls a week ago and I cant stop listening to it.
Smokin' K I agree 100% dude, I LOVE that song. I’m still digging on Brave This Storm and A Grey So Dark too.
The title of the video in my recommended read: "TRIVIUM: Their least favorite son..." 😂
Awesome Interview

PeRuN the Riffmeister Its a picture of boobs
Would love to see them back in South Africa!
Callisto is my favorite Trivium song 🤣 I really wanna learn it on bass and then I hear Paolo say it’s the most difficult song he ever recorded (I also need a 5-string to play it though) 😭
Discovered Trivium at a rock festival let me tell you these guys are fucking sick
I love how all Alex contributed to this video was "I like sushi and ice cream" *awkwardly brushes pants*
Great questions!
I love The Rising and the solo. :'( I miss Thrashvium
That fact that matt is a power rangers fan makes me love this band even more
Close your eyes when matt talks
Now imagine that's Corey speaking
Now you have Mick Tompson
Love this band!!
your new drummer is sick!
3:53 alex fell asleep
These guys are so fucking cool i wanna meet them fr
I feel like Heafy is the reason for the huge change in direction of their sound over the years.
I fucking love the rising
I love ascendancy
so underrated these guys kick ass!
I'm glad that Matt mentioned that he collected Power Ranger stuff. I don't feel as weird anymore:)
Does anyone else think the new drummer kinda looks like Shia LaBeouf?
Reasons Above All I see it
Alex Bent: The “Shia LeBeouf of Trivium”
Don't let your dreams be dreams!!!
He will not divide us....
No he looks like Paolo and Corey had a baby
Crusade is still my personal favorite album from them :P haters gonna hate.
Love that RLHT shirt Matt’s wearing.
Beyond Oblivion is my choice for no. 1.
New listeners to the band: Wow this Matt-guy must be a total savage
Matt in this interview: I’ve got a nine year old diabetic dog.
...and Alex is just sitting there, bored.
Maximo K. He's new to the band between Paolo and Matt they can talk forever
Yeah I noticed to :/
Maximo K.
Cause he can't rape his drumset during interviews.
Maximo K. think he’s shy
These guys love FF, so that's fucking awesome IMO
Matt's T-shirt is so epic, Regarde les hommes tomber is a nice band
My 2 favourite songs from The Sin And The Sentience are Beyond Oblivion and Thrown Into The Fire
Trivium has to be the most underrated metal bound . the new album is SICK
well no that title goes to voivod
The fuck you mean going to Australia all the time ?
Kyle King They're here every 2 years consistently
Corey's left hand is a lot bigger than the right. beast!
I love the Rising!!!
0:40 MY MAN!!!
Loved the Crusade...
Best Band Of my Generation
Your favorite. Not the best
DUDE, Regarde les Hommes Tomber? That's neat.
7:56 I know the exact riff they're talking about in Callisto. It is indeed difficult lmao
the riff at the verses?
Interesting that Callisto was one of the hardest ones to track. I found that the easiest song to play off there and even performed it at high school along with Down from the Sky.
Songs like into the Mouth of Hell or Kirisute Gomen I found 100x more difficult.
I wonder what's interesting on the floor...they keep staring at it lol
How did they not mention Crusade (self tilted track) as their most difficult song
Trivium is such a kickass band 🤘🤘🤘😤😤😤❤️❤️❤️❤️
Paulo catching up on Matts tattoo game!
Matt's shirt! Regarde les hommes tomber! HELL YES!!
God damn Corey's left arm is pipe double the size of his right
The wretchedness inside best song
The Heart From Your Hate is my favorite
i love matts ears 😂
**goes back to listen to Callisto**
...Yeah. I can see that. I know exactly the weird part they're talking about.
Alex is like “fuck, I dunno”
Three shorties and Matt
Mlba456 odd that the Asian is the tallest one
the rising is fucking amazing. foolish.
The Crusade was a like a ..And Justice for All clone, this year though, I think The Sin and the Sentence is the Heavy Metal release of 2017.
Can't believe Corey has 70 guitars! I've had the same one for 6-ish years and I'm a student so I can't afford to even buy strings haha
“don’t talk about the floor”
Aww man , I love The Rising
Plaguey 666 it's fucking sick and the solo
I work at a sushi bar, you do not want sushi EVERY day. *stomach rumbles with displeasure
