How do you decide who deserves it? They have the money from one source or another. You only deserve what you can do for yourself and they all managed that one way or another. Whether it was hard earned money or given to them they all deserve it based on what they can do

I think it's particularly interesting how some are owned by one person and how some are owned by an entire family or group of people. When I was reading who the owners were for the Cubs I was like "Geez, what does the whole Ricketts family own it?" Must be. Makes you wonder how they run things with a group of people involved.

You didn't mention that Clay Bennett moved the SuperSonics to Oklahoma after promising the former owner that he would try to keep them in Seattle.

As a Saints and Pelicans fan, a lot of people are worried about what could happen when Benson dies (it could happen any day now). The Pelicans might be moved by the new owners, it wouldn't surprise me. The entire state of Louisiana would fucking riot if they tried to move the Saints, but if it can happen to Oakland, St. Louis, and San Diego, it could happen to us. New Orleans isn't the third largest city in America anymore. I don't even think it's Top 50 now.

Michael, you're right! Actually it was 1840, NOLA was top 6 from 1820 to 1870. When you build a city 5ft below sea level on the gulf, you got to expect a few natural disasters to set growth back. I lived a couple of my single younger years on the West Bank...had a great time!
I don't think you have to worry about the Saints. NOLA is too much of a party city. ~8 times/year...tailgate @ Superdome, catch game, hit the Quarter after...there's enough people to support that. Pelicans might be a different story. I mean, you did loose the Jazz (don't know what happened). And only got present team because Charlotte would not bow to George Shinn's blackmail. Don't think MLB will ever go to NOLA...game way to mellow for that area. Although I did see the AAA stadium I think in Kenner. Nice.

Lancaster Responding but Trump was actually a good businessman. Out of almost 100 businesses only two failed and he managed to claim bankruptsy (only for the individual businesses, not personal bankruptsy) for them. He turned 1 million into almost 13 billion by building businesses. Cuban just kinda tricked people.
Trump is a good businessman due to his daddy's money, his daddy's NYC contacts, lots of shady backroom deals and kickbacks, ripping off the investors and bondholders of his casinos, pompous over-the-top salesmanship, absolutely no morals whatsoever, blinding narcissism, and a good head for finding deals, branding, etc.
Cuban is the luckiest man alive mixed with a bit of a con artist, as dash4800 already stated. Of course, no one forced Yahoo to pay $4.8 billion for his worthless startup.

Seriousy a mass exorcism needs to happen in the city. None of the big 4 made it to the conference finals since 1998 with the Caps. And the only other cities that have as long or longer droughts for conference finals droughts is Cincinnati, Winnipeg, and San Diego (Las Vegas doesn't count since it's their first year that they have a big 4 pro team). Yeah it took me 1.5 hours to calculate that all out.
