Arsenal defended very well. Masterclass in the low block. It just didn't last till the final whistle but I won't knock the coach for the tactic. Not at all.

Feel it came too early. With zero threat on the break or counterattack. Too defensive in my opinion.

      @@stevecole1064 can't be a masterclass and concede...come now!

The second yellow was warranted. Don’t touch the ball when the whistle is blown. These modern players love delaying the game. However people can argue about the consistency of the calls because Doku should have been given a yellow as well. But it doesn’t give you license to do the same if he didn’t get book worse the week before your teammate got a yellow for the same thing.
I disagree with both of you that arteta should have countered in second half. If they had tried that and lost you both would say a stupid call by Arteta and he should have locked shop. It’s amazing how 11 v 11 you guys were not sure of the result but 10 b 11 Arsenal would have done better

Hindsight is 20/20 but I felt Arsenal needed to remain a counterattacking threat. But I thought they went ultra defensive too early.

@@BeatingthePress and should the result end up with them losing you would have said they went defensive too late and should have locked shop earlier

@BeatingthePress They did a stellar job for the entirety of the second half plus part of the first, versus a man city with a rampant attack. To only concede at after the 97th minute shows how great the tactic worked. Yes they conceded from a set play but it was brilliant work by the team. I won't knock them.
See Everton had 11 and were up 2:0 yet lost the game at the death vs Bournemouth. What should they have done in hindsight?
