Fr Criste, thank you for explaining everything just like Bishop Sheen did for an Easter Mass I believe. In any event, if all these things were explained to us, we would find joy in all the mysticism within the Mass. This lifts our minds and hearts to God.
+ Lord, thank you for touching the hearts of our Nation. Grant us, dear Jesus, the ability & capability to wisely use this victory. We asked for Your mercy & you gave it to us; may we graciously accept this gift. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. + Amen
You are one misguided individual. How can you support a convicted felon and a convicted rapist, not to mention everything else he has done to people and our country?
That image of Our Lady of Guadalupe looks fantastic. How many know that her face was painted over after 1921 to make her look Indian? Another common belief that is not true is that the Miraculous Image converted the Aztecs to the Catholic religion. That was impossible because the people travelled up to 400 miles to find a Priest for Baptism. Only then did they see the Image. Indian Culture for eons told of the one who would climb a hill, find beautiful flowers and bring them back down. Word that this had occurred spread like wildfire, and they came to Mexico City.
How lovely to see the mourning choir dress resurrected! It is unfortunate, however, that those in charge went too far. The Cardinal's biretta and skullcap ALWAYS remain in cardinalatial scarlet, and a Cardinal never, under no circumstances, ever, wears a biretta with a pom. The "downgrade" to purple applies only to the cassock and mozzetta (in this instance).
Unfortunately, those in charge got a bit too enthusiastic and misapplied the traditional rules. Prelates used to (this was abolished under Paul VI) "dress down" one rank for penitential seasons and mournful occasions, (i.e. Lent, Requiems, sede vacante), but not entirely. While the colour of a Cardinal's choir cassock (and mozzetta) would go from scarlet to purple, the proper signs of the cardinalate (zucchetto, biretta) and in most cases the stockings, remain scarlet in accordance with the prelate's dignity. Under no circumstances would a Cardinal ever wear a purple biretta, much less one with a tuft, or skullcap. So, in short, there is truth and propriety in what was done, but they went too far by making a Cardinal appear as a Bishop by not retaining any sign of his Cardinalate.
@@TheYoungProdigal While he does indeed, he is also a very humble man and may have accepted it as mortification. Like the rest of us, he is also not infallible. He may also have actually corrected them after the ceremony, for all we know. But the fact remains: It was wrong in part.
I couldn’t wait to watch this, till the commentator kept on talking during the Introit, at which point I stopped. Unbelievable. But I do appreciate knowing the name of every person in the sanctuary, including every altar boy, the janitors who polished the floors, and the beekeeper that supplied unbleached wax for the candles. For heavens sake….
I agree, this is edifying for people who want to know what is happening during this mass. In fact, it is an absolute blessing that we are able to hear and learn about what is going on at such a rare liturgy.
Grazie ❤
Thank you, Fr. Ambrose, for teaching us about this beautiful Mass!

Can't understand that Pope Francis is not good? He is the false prophet mentioned in the book of Revelation.

An somewhat FSSP enthusiast watching.
Why he was in purple as a bishop and not red as every cardinal?
Nel catafalco si mettevano 4 candelieri e non 6. I tradizionalisti tante cose non le sanno.

Tell me you're an ICKSP enthusiast without telling me you're an ICKSP enthusiast. 😂

Why he is dressed like a normal bishop and not as a cardinal?

@@ClavesCoelorum,
Cardinal Burke knows well the liturgy and Tradition. No doubt he would have corrected any errors.

Could be great not speak all time !!!!

Where can I watch your comedy special?
who on earth thought narrating a mass is a good idea???
In the case of this Holy Mass, it was an excellent idea.

Someone who didn’t want you to hear the beautiful music.
