The restaurant scene was a power play between two families. The one who gives in first shows weakness and shows they are desperate for the alliance. That gives the stronger party leverage in the relationship while discussing sharing cost of marriage, dowry (if any) and future long term relationship. Fixing alliance is a delicate thing and needs skill to navigate potential pitfalls. Especially in north India where social rules and norms are more archaic. The mom is worried because the girls age is ticking every month and as the girls age increase, its harder to get good grooms. The more your age increase, the more you have to compromise on your ideal husband.
The good thing about Panchayat is that is doesn't try to be "preachy", which is quite unique in these times. Every thing you watch made recently had some agendas/preaching whether political or social (not unique to India but everywhere). A lot of content made on rural setting try to portray some aspects of their customs etc as bad or makes fun of them and they need preaching from "the educated lot" to become better. This takes away from the underlying stories. Panchayat just shows how it is without trying to preachy or having a superiority complex.
I love the directing choice they made to not zoom in on the driver after he gets sober. Something very lonely about him, with no one else in the frame, in direct contrast to Abhishekh and his buddies drinking right there.
Well the only problem with this series is the salary of government employees is not as less as its shown. The minimum starting government salary is 28k - 30k for grade three jobs like peons . For a panchayat Sachiv it has to be atleast 50k. 20k could be a private companies salary, not governments

One of the biggest problems i had for this season was that everyone including the dancer & drunk driver were dropping life lessons for Abhishek and he would act like he had enlightenment at the moment but writers would completely forget about it in the next episode.. he wasn't much focused on his studies either.
That's real life lol. A lot of time you feel enlightened but then a few days later make the same mistake or just forget about it. But these repeated things, belittling comments on his salary and status do bog him down, but then as in real life he finds a way to get around those things and move on. Ultimately I believe he will get some better job and feel triumphant and lost at the same time, and that ll probably be the last season.

The plots didn't go anywhere, even in first ep the brick buisness was abandoned then the dancer's motivation was picked up which was then again abandoned in next episode. I love the show and its realism but the base of the storyline is still about a guy who wants to go to IIM, the village is just something we fell in love with along the way. Abhishek doesn't concentrate much on his studies as he should've after his failure.. (although that might be the reason he's where he's now.) And again i love the series but in final episode (which is heartbreaking) they also abandoned the actual plot and went for a shocker which might be a suicide because there's no way people will look at prahlad the same way in next season.
I hope people stop letting out any detail about the last episode. I'm worried they will spoil it for them. Achara and Syntel should have the chance to discover everything on their own like the rest of us have. Guys please hold your thoughts in until they post the reaction to the season finale - just like I am doing.

Yes you can cook rice, lentil, Vegetables, nonveg in pressure cooker.
Rice in a cooker cooks the best. You only have to wait for 1 whistle amd wait to cool down the gas. All it takes is 10 minutes.
