Very beautiful bull. Makes me miss my childhood farm life. We had cattle. My favorite bull in our heard was an Angus. He was a very nice and reliable bull, producing healthy and strong offspring. So glad you are letting your bull get a nice retirement after all he did for you and his breed. A stunning animal for sure.
Beautiful Animals. Are they bred for beef or as show animals? I live close to the Old Chisum Ranch where they have Longhorns..they can be seen when driving from the highway. The ranch is between Roswell and Dexter, NM. They are beautiful to see!
I have seen some bulls that were prissy just because they damn well felt like it. they can be bread for it and they. an be mean to be mean. this is one beautiful bull.
+Kaiser Frost for crying out loud its just a bull....no need to go crazy about it...its just a cow....i dont like the color much and would prefer all brown or all black...i would like to eat this bull....i know about cows......dont much like the horns and they should be clipped a little

@2:12 you say he weighed 21 hundred pounds, i'm unsure about that from that picture. Even though he's a nice animal, he does not look like an almost 1 ton bull in that pic
Over Kill's adult weight was over a ton from his 4th year on. He was a very tall and long bull so doesn't look rolley-polley fat like a European breed. He was born on 3/31/2003 and weighed 2025 6/13/2008 and his top weight was 2100 on 12/4/2009. His last weight of record was 2090 on 12/3/2010. Over Kill is deceased now.
+Thirstypioneer Our bulls are treated well. That said, "temperament" is one of the strongest genetic traits. We have bred 12 generations of longhorn bulls and selected for temperament. If they are mean or crazy, we don't use them for a bull. On the other side, Spanish fighting bulls have been selected for hundreds of generations to have the meanest, nastiest, worst attitudes possible. The bull with the worst temperament was bred to the cows with the worst temperament for the bulls you see today in the rings in Spain.
Well, actually neither. This bull is a sire and the goal is to produce "Seed Stock". A Seed Stock producer produces the breeding quality animals for other producers. Texas Longhorns do end up on the plate, but there is a lot of value in animals that are of the higher quality that are not produced exclusively for food.
Front legs are built differently, but are certainly not shorter. His back is level, if his front legs were too short, the back would appear to be slanted.
He has a very nice rear for a longhorn bull. He was a little overweight. The last couple years of his life he had a ruptured disk and was kept up in a very small area with only a few cows. He couldn't get much exercise because he couldn't walk well. He had to be put down because he wasn't ever going to get better. :(
He's a handsome beast, and he sure knows it.
He is beautiful!
Damn, that is one good looking Bull. love it.
beautiful bull! Man God sure does make some wonderful creatures.

Longhorns are cool. Texans have a right to be proud of this breed.

I used to want to be a billionaire investor or hedge-fund manager or something like that. Now I just want to Texas and be one with the long horns.
how much do you ask for them?
It's good to see that bulls when treated well, aren't that aggressive as the bulls raised in Spain for bullfighting.
+Thirstypioneer The bull fighting ones in Spain are injected with hormones to make them aggressive.

Different breed.
How did he get a back injury?

Very well marked, look at his fore head the white

why does the bull have shorter front legs? I've been noticing that bulls have short front legs
Front legs are built differently, but are certainly not shorter. His back is level, if his front legs were too short, the back would appear to be slanted.
wow! didn't notice that makes sense..lol thanks.
***** Yeah, the most important thing is that all 4 legs reach the ground. :) Have a happy new year.
Thanxs you too!!

i thought the bull was goin to be blown up

What a stupid name for such a unique creature!
Sorry, you don't like his name. His sire was named Over Head. We try to name them in a way that makes their parentage obvious.
"We're honoured, today...." to talk about a bull? Really?
😮🤢🤔
His rear is ugly and he's overwheight..
It's a sign he lacks exercise..

Saying he had a nice rear for a longhorn is like saying that an ugly person is very beautiful for an ugly person..
