Thx m8! Successfully completed Plex setup with your help and - as if you had guessed it beforehand - also successfully completed this tutorial on JellyFin! Great, thank you from Germany!
For those of you who have followed this method and "DLNA" is not working.... You need to add the string " network_mode: 'host' " just above your "ports" entry inline with the same indent as "ports:". the problem is that because no network is specified it defaults to "bridge" and can not properly communicate with the localhost. anyways, hope that saves some of you a day or two. namaste. p.s. another footnote, if you edit your drive paths/composer string in a word file like me, make sure you don't use the tab key, tab causes errors in the omv composer editor window and you can't see them. later. And thanks for the vid Rob!! I always like your stuff. :)
I really like the way you explain things. Very detailed and straight to the point. From there we can pick it up and enhance the solution to our liking. Thanks for taking the time to produce these videos. 👍
Thank you for the feedback 🙂. I appreciate it @IvanDeSousaJR . And you are right. My objective is to try and explain as much as I can. Because once you understand the idea, you can modify it to you're liking🙂.
fantastic way how to connect jellyfin libraries with shared folders, You are my hero of this month ;-))) i've been struggling with this problem last week , thank You very much great work.
Thank you so much!! I got it working but now I don't know how to enable Qsync hardware encoding/decoding on my i3 7100. Would you be able to do a quick tutorial on enabling hardware acceleration in Jellyfish?
When I enable the HWA the files stop playing. I've tried following the steps shown on the Jellyfin website but it's quite complicated for a total newbie like me. I think it's got to do with the user permissions related to Jellyfin and its ffmpeg but I have no clue.
Hello, I can create a video if needed. You can also just google "jellyfin installation" and based on what operating system you are using they have official guides. If you are using Ubuntu or Debian, they is a curl command that can be used to automatically install jellyfin. You just need to make sure that you have curl installed. Please let me know if this helps. Thanks.
When I add the music volume it doesn't recognize it. What I'm doing wrong? I'm trying to add it from a different hard disk thought. It only works with one hard disk?
Hello, make sure you put the drive folder in the compose yaml file. If you are using a docker user that you created, make sure it has access to the files.
Sorry for the late reply, I am sure you figure it out by now. Incase you haven't or for anyone with the same question. In the docker compose settings (services -> compose -> settings), you need to add a shared folder. Its on the top where it says shared folder drop-down.
Thank you for trying but as a new user (me), attempting to even setup OMV, and then actually (I think) managed to install Docker and then desperately trying to navigate and figure out how to setup Plex or Jellyfin..., your video could be helpful but it is not. Use lover resolution so we the viewers can actually see what you are doing, watch your own video its basically a constant guesswork for us who want to make out what we are seeing on the screen. Also delete the folders and shares and do them step by step, referring to what we already see and can read in the documentations isn't helpful. So not trying to be rude or anything but your video create more confusion than actual solution, again, for someone like myself. Ps, I did watch your other videos as well and its basically the same feedback I have for you even on those.
Thank you for this! I was really struggling with figuring out how to set up both Jellyfin and Plex and your videos made it super easy.
I am glad my video made it easy for your. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm glad it helped! Appreciate the feedback. 🙂

Thank you for the feedback. Hardware acceleration can be found under Admin Dashboard, Transcoding section of the playback tab.
