wasnt really a big kenny perry fan but this loss was heartbreaking. hes such a humble and nice guy, a pros pro with so much class, i hope kenny gets that major he deserves!
Kenny Perry had only bogeyed 4 holes all week at the 2009 Masters. He birdied 16 and stepped up to the 17th tee on Easter Sunday with a 2 shot lead. He proceeded to bogey 17 and 18 and dropped into a 3 way tie for the lead with Chad Campbell and Angel Cabrera. Cabrera won the tournament on the 2nd playoff hole. Kenny is almost 49years old and would have been the oldest golfer to ever win a major. The 73rd Masters slipped from his grasp.
Cabrera is always smooth? Was that a smooth shot into the trees on 18? Angel is knocking on 40 and has won only twice on the PGA Tour and 5 times on the European Tour. He is only one major behind Phil!
