    Thank you for your very thorough reply. Now, I understand
    I recently purchased a 5300 QDC and absolutely love it. I do have a problem however in threading and in particular the last place the thread goes before going around the corner of the machine and into the thread cutter. I am visually impaired but I can still see, but not the tiny parts of the machine. I follow the directions to the letter but cannot manage that last step. Could you please do a very close up video of the threading procedure. Thank you very much. Marilyn

      HI Marilyn, I'll be at the Janome Sewing and Learning Centre for a week mid-July so I'll definitely record a proper video - with horizontal camera orientation, lol! for you showing the threading of your machine. I have one in my classroom, this is perfect! Thank you for sharing the Janome Love!

    My needle breaks frequently even with cotton fabric. Any suggestions not to break?

    Can this 1522 model use Class 15 metal bobbins?

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, while it's best to use Janome branded bobbins, almost all Janome machines will use a standard Class 15 bobbin,

    Can you please help me. I have a TS200Q. It suddenly turned off while I was using it! Then it came back on, and turned off and on a few more times and then it would not turn on anymore. All of my cords and connections and wall outlet are good. About an hour later it turned back on again. But then it shut off and will not come back on. It will be several weeks before I can take it to repair, but do you have any tips or ideas for me in the meantime?

    Hi, does this machine need oil? Can't find any info in my manual. Thanks in advance

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally a good cleaning; brushing out all the lint regularly is all most Janome machines need to keep them running well in between regular servicing by an authorized Janome service technician. They will do the oiling where and when necessary. Happy Sewing!

    Do all the Janome 1522DG come with the soft dust cover?

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I believe all the 1522 models come with a soft dust cover. The instruction manual of the machine, which is available online, has a list of contents included in the box. It will list if there's an included dust cover. Happy Sewing!

    What kind of thread do you use?

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love using the variety of Madeira and Hilos Iris threads available from Janome Canada dealers.

    Do this machine have plastic gears or cast?

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bushings and rods are metal, but the actual gears which move to select the various stitches are nylon.

    I’ve asked before and so have others, and we have seen you in full landscape camera. Please stop filming vertically

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hi Marilyn. Yes, believe me, I DO pay attention to and appreciate the feedback. However, these "videos" of Magical Machine Mystery Tour are captures of Instagram Live presentations and It's Instagram which does not let me film in landscape orientation; only vertically. Shot in landscape mode, everyone would have to turn their head sideways or turn their device, which if viewed on You Tube on a television would be way more annoying and difficult. Since everyone does not have Instagram, I decided to upload them here as a way to reach more people and to share more love. Perhaps foolishly I thought that would be better than nothing. I've also chosen to allow for comments in case viewers have questions about the machines etc. but I'm now feeling it's best to switch them off. More actual videos, shot horizontally, with a real camera as opposed to an IPAD or IPHONE is definitely in the works, like we shot recently for Quilt Canada. These presentations are Instagram Live presentations so anything to do with Magical Machine Mystery Tour will always be vertical, BUT as new machines are released, proper videos will soon follow. I'm a team of ONE, sometimes TWO, so there's only so many hours in the day to produce everything we'd like to in order to continue sharing the Janome love - but I'm determined to try, so please stay tuned!
