my theory is that jet black was before kissing booth , and kissing booth is then finally getting into a normal life ( newspaper boy , trash dumper , etc )

Yeahhhh I saw the clothes and I was like ???? Is the same?? So…,my theory is, jet black comes after kissing booth. So basically in kissing booth they had a normal life with regular jobs, and then Justin “the newspaper boy” came with a kind of ‘invite’ to a new thing, maybe a new experience that could change their lives. On this part we have them running to follow Justin to the kissing booth (which could be a kind of portal / door to Cydia, a new world), there they could enjoy their times, having fun and etc.. *I think is a new world cus we have the shot where Oliver snaps his fingers and the bg changes, also the shot of Seb with the moon behind him, which could be the same on Jet Black where we have the shot of the city and two big “planets”in the sky* . And now we go to Jet black’s MV, where they are trapped, they are forced to perform and being controlled by the red hoods, but as they go, they try to resist, making the red hoods angry and bored, so then they gave up and the boys gets to loose, at this point I think they got back to their regular lives, the original world.
Forgot to add. -> I have no clue who are these guys, but I think the boys got fooled by them, they offered a world without worries and idk…, responsibility??!, and later on they got trapped. - But at the same time I’m not sure If I should follow this theory, I feel “Cydia” is a place where they can enjoy and have fun, be themselves, no worries and etc…
Okay I love this theory and it makes a lot of sense!! I forgot that the background changes when Oli snaps his fingers!! Omgggggg! I didn't watch the Kissibg Booth teaser until now, so I didn't know they were promoting this new type of world in the music videos. Really interesting. I might paint my nails black and pink for the concert 🙈😭😭

I watched jet black twice on my own and I thought the music video was going to help me like the song better honestly, I'm even more confused than I was before so I waited for a couple hours for you to do your reaction so I can see a different perspective from it and as I was watching yours I started thinking and I have a theory that maybe the dudes in the red hoods are Bae, Angel and Justin or Bae, angel and ty. Either way, it was still very confusing for me
In terms of story, I think the idea is to just give us hints and not actually answer anything outright until later on. Keeps us guessing and on our toes!

It's so weird how the red guys just went out, and left them alone, because if they are being controld by them why would they just leave, that fells like I'm missing something
I noticed the trailer for Kissing Booth was kinda creepy. The voice welcoming us to "the city of Cydia" was robotic. The MV was cute and everything but it just seemed like a world that's too perfect to be real. Then Jet Black has the boys being held against their wills marionette style... basically forcing them to perform. But the masked figures cannot keep control over the North Star Boys. Their will power is too strong, their passion is too much to control. So the boys are discarded when "the powers that be" lose their hold on NSB.🤔

Guys jet black is after kissing booth
Kissing Booth and Jet black are in the same timeline. Different realities, but same timeline... where one of their consciousness is in the jetblack universe and the other is filming kissing booth. They have to escape from the puppet masters or else they'd remain trapped in that reality, drowning in the sea. But they did escape and were washed up onto the shore in their kissing booth clothing because they had already been doing kissing booth even while being trapped in Jetblack. They were lucky enough to free themselves though 😊
