Hard to say. It's still the same producer, factory and people. But the film get's better every time. The latest color films have all been very stable for me. Thomas

I have had this camera for about a year now, and I feel like I waste more film than ever. A lot of my pics have been very dark, and do not turn out well. This happens even on a bright or partly cloudy day. I have small instax mini 11 that usually takes great photos, but I want to use my one step because I like the big pictures! Do you have any suggestions on how to shoot better photos? Also, what is your personal favorite polaroid camera? Thanks.

Hi, I almost always turned the exposure correction towards the brighter side. Also, in my experience, the recent films are very high in contrast. That being said, I am not a huge fan of the camera. It's decent but, as you said, not super reliable. My favorite cameras are the SLR 680, due to its versatility and the SX-70 which is more compact.

Thank you! How can it be sharp from 0,6m to infinity? Even the Impulse cameras had at least two focus zones. So there is no boquet (background unsharpness) ever with this camera as you get with SX-70? Was the the I-1 better in close range with internal different lenses and boquet?

Hey, thanks for your comment. I checked with the manual and didn't find an answer. My guess: It works like in the Polaroid 600 series autofocus cameras. They have different lenses and they choose the lens according to the distance. I know it worked like that in the I-1 too (as you've mentioned). The I-1 worked worse, because the AF was failing a lot.

That's exactly the question, I do NOT think it has autofocus with several lenses as the Polaroid 660 and the I-1. It says fixfocus! With several internal lenses you WOULD have out of focus background at 0.6m. Check it out :-)
