    Shaking the lips during injection anesthesia would really help the patient experience less pain. also agree that using the cannula for lips is disastrous, so unrefined and uncontrolled

    I've seen some other doctors say they will not use the lip tenting technique on older women and I never understand why, so it's nice to see this doctor doing that on this mature patient and her lips look beautiful after!

    I liked the video, but would you not change the needle after a few shots? (when it becomes blunt)

      TSK needles stay sharp for multiple injections. Of course, you can change the needles at any time, if you feel the sharpness is reaching below your threshold.

      My question as well

    • @devin7703
      @devin7703 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You cannot rely solely on aspiration so some tend to not do it at all. Let me clear up why. Aspiration only works with sharp needle on the exact point in which you do so. That being said it is only useful for area in which you know the anatomy is high risk for occlusion and on using a BOLUS technique. Tenting,retrograde liner technique, linear threading is based on the idea that you are always moving the needle tip and have very light pressure not pushing more than 0.25ml of filler in any one line, giving very low chance to ever FULLY occlude vessel if ever in one! So, you see, when threading product in this way, aspiration is absolutely useless and defeats the purpose of this technique. However when using bolus it can be implemented with purpose. Ever move this doctor makes is art and like a finely choreographed ballet, if you will, great technique with exquisite execution and reasoning for each injection. You always need to rethink the purpose of what you are taught in aesthetics and improve on it and minimize bruising , swelling and any extraneous wasteful movements. This physician is brilliant!

      Dr Van Eijk injected the area around the mouth using retrograde injections, to strengthen the skin surface. The lips were injected using direct injections, "creating little tent poles" as Dr Van Eijk referred to it.

As long as the patient is anesthetized, comfortable, and the lldocaine Injection end result is the same, I don’t think anybody would care about your Lido injection technique 🙃

    This lady would be better served if she went and had Ablative laser done around her mouth to get rid of those smoker lines. It works so well and for what she spending (no offense ) getting all of this filler she wouldn’t have to go back again for a long time to have more laser done. You could still be filling her lips and then you would have more product to go into her lip tubulars.
