Make a patchwork project bag … the colours are gorgeous 💙❤️💜
Aw…she's super cute! What a clever idea to use the old fabrics in patchwork, I’m sure her namesake will love her too!
Helen looks so sweet. Her dress is perfect for her. Looking forward to what you create next.
Helen turned out beautifully. As a quilter, I have found there is a time and place for even the most hideous of fabrics. And if you cut them small enough, often the ugliness disappears.
Your embroidery is lovely. I have my eye on some patterns for animals that I absolutely love and think they would work in a quilted wall hanging. It is fun to be able to combine more than one craft into a project to make something unique and personal.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Karen 🐭 I totally agree about the fabrics. A quilted wall hanging with animals sounds lovely, I’m looking forward to quilting mine 😊 thank you so much for watching xx
Helen is gorgeous so is her dress! Loved the sea walk too and hearing the birds xx

Hi, I thought you would like the upcycling of the old fabric, it’s satisfying making something new from something old and forgotten. Hope you are ok. ( inspired by you I managed to get a decent Lidl box and made loads from it, even had my slow cooker on I felt quite proud! 😃) xx
She is wonderful, her dress and headscarf are sweet. I must have a look at the pattern to make for my little granddaughter ❤️ thank you for sharing
Thank you Heather! 🥰🐭 Can’t remember if I said but the pattern is by Studio Seren. Thank you for watching xx

Helen Mouse is gorgeous . She looks very boho.
Love the quilt idea to show off all your embroidery. I fell down the embroidery rabbit hole last year and have a bagful of completed ones. I was chatting with my friend last week, wondering what to do with them. Food for thought, thank you. X
Hi Angela, thank you 🐭 Embroidery is very addictive I agree! I would be interested to know if you make a quilt too, it’s a nice way to display and enjoy them. 🌸🌺 xx
How fantastic those foxgloves looked towering above the bracken! So beautiful, we don't have them in our woods but I must put some in my higgledy-piggledy garden!! Ooh and that crimson clover ❤ stunning! They will inspire your floral embroidery. The quilt idea is perfect 👌
Helen the Borrower Mouse is a triumph! 🐭 Who knew? That dull at first glance material positively shines! You've made her so well, and no, you do not make too many stuffed animal friends 😄 we watch Claire Who Makes Things after all 🤷♀️ and she has dozens and dozens! 😂
Thank you for another lovely episode 👋
Hi Rowan, the foxgloves are so pretty aren’t they, I will have loads of seeds when mine finish flowering if you would like any. 🌺 I’m so pleased with Helen mouse and loved making her dress ( I didn’t enjoy sewing her face) 🤣 I will grow my handmade animal folk with pride!! 🥰😊 Have a lovely week xx
@@LillyandTheBee That would be lovely, thank you 🌱🌱🌱
I must go and check out more of the mouse mal makes 🐭🐭🐭
Hi Lilly, I am rather behind in my TH-cam viewing after being away in the van for two and a half weeks! But I’m so glad that I’ve made time to watch this podcast - Helen the mouse is very beautiful indeed and the dress is amazing - what a transformation from that selection of uninspiring 80s fabrics to a wonderful piece of patchwork fabric! Is there a separate pattern available for the dress? I need to make a dress for my Cool Crafting mouse… I will chat about her in my next podcast! I hope that you are resting well after all those daily vlogs!!! I haven’t yet attempted such a feat. 😂❤
Hi Helen, I hope you had a lovely time away. I was surprised how pretty the patchwork turned out and I’m glad you like her. The CoolCrafting animal’s clothes are in the Luna Lapin books and I think you can buy the patterns on the website too. The cheapest option might be to get the first book as there are a few nice outfits which will fit your mouse and detailed instructions. I can’t wait to see her! I’ve loved making the daily vlogs but had to have a break as it was a bit too much with all the editing. I’m now carrying on but not every day 😊Xx
That little mousekin is adorable ….. sew cute !!!!❤love her 👗!!!! Just gorgeous 💖
