I felt obliged to write and thank you. I am in my 70s have always sewn, quilted, tatted , crocheted, knitted made Christmas ornaments and the like. Until I watched your video I had never ever considered myself an artist, that was left to the likes, you who create simply wondrous things. So with head held high I have told my grandchildren I am a artist and they all laughed and said we know that! God bless you and the inspiration you have given me will stay with me forevermore. Angie.
I like spinner cards and think this is probably easier than using a penny. But I like those too. This is a cute little "hedgie" and makes an adorable card. I know a kid who is getting one of these. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, all. After I watched this video I knew I had to make a similar card of my own. I have a friend with the last name of "Roll" and she recently asked me for a hedgehog card. This was the perfect solution. I didn't have the same hedggies, but I did have the set from Lawn Fawn. I even found a way to improve on the process. Instead of using a dimensional adhesive square with my brad, I used a nylon flat washer...cheap on Amazon...This way I didn't have to worry about stickiness where I didn't want it and the spinner mechanism would move freely. Also, instead of a paper piercer I used a hole punch...so simple to put together. I did use a small foam square to attach the hedggie to the brad with added Scotch tacky glue to secure it. if I knew how to add a picture to this post...I would. Thanks Sandy for the inspiration :-)
Love this sweet card! I will have to look through my stamps to see which ones will work. Love Kristie's video. I watched it last week and have been working in spare moments to use up a partial pad of paper, 19 cards and counting! Now over to Connie's video! Thanks for sharing.
That is so cute! That would be perfect for a child to receive (or an adult or is a kid at heart). I decided to watch this while I was letting my Hex chart dry (just printed it). I'm trying to keep it from smearing.
The signo pen uses a pigment based ink, which is more likely to clog than dye based pens. Regardless, just scribble it on the back of your hand before using it to get the ink flowing
Very nice and clever ! Looove it ! I never have the idea to start coloring with copic with the colorless pen but will try ! TFS the links of Connie and Kristie!
sandy, you come up with the best stuff! I love that spinning hedge hog. lol also, I think I fixed my atg gun! I watched a ton of videos (yours was very helpful) I saw one lady make shims for her gun so that the single refills that had hung vertically and got misshapen would not fly off the gun. I did it. (there were no measurements so it was time consuming, but it worked in the end) i'm going to decorate it now so maybe i'll start using it. i'll try it a few more weeks, and then buy a box of refills like you do. this will really help to keep the cost of my tape down. thanks for all of your help! love, treen
OMG this is so cute!!! It would be more amazing if we be able to come up with a way to make it spin and at the same time roll from up-hill to down-hill. That would be so amazing!
Super adorable!!! OMG I have to scour my stamp stash to see what might be good for this interactive card. So so CUTE! Thanks so much for sharing! Hugs, Kristina
I bet you fixed my Signo pen problem. I'm quite sure I do press hard so thanks! Love your spinner card. So cute! I think the white really helps make it look like a hedgehog.
It did fix it. I definitely was pushing too hard and it works so much better with a soft touch. I just improved some of my "artwork" with my white pen!
Elizabeth Gunn A long while if you count all my attempts to get it to work without Connie's supplies. LOL. I was doing a lot of swapping around of stuff to make the spinner spin right.
I love the hedgehogs ! I clicked on your blog link and it says page not found and then I tried to locate it on your blog manually and it says the same thing.
Sandy Allnock I tried it again its working now sorry :( really embarrassed :( . I bet its my internet connection or my chromebook. Thank you so much for replying and checking , I really appreciate it :) I know you are are probably really busy .

I found that it's best to use eyelets with these types of cards so the hole doesn't get worn out so easily.

Dot Freel Come back and report to let me know if that fixes it - I'm curious!
It did fix it. I definitely was pushing too hard and it works so much better with a soft touch. I just improved some of my "artwork" with my white pen!

Awww so cute
OMGGG!! I just ADOREEEEE this!!!
This is great for kid cards! I love pop ups and such. Thanks Sandy. I don't see the link for the video where the artist uses an entire dec paper pad?
Diana Trout You didn't see it in the description? It's also in cards and annotations within the video too.
Here in the UK we call a hedgehog's spikey bits "prickles". We never call them spines or quills.
So cute!!!

Elizabeth Gunn A long while if you count all my attempts to get it to work without Connie's supplies. LOL. I was doing a lot of swapping around of stuff to make the spinner spin right.
