Excellent review! This is also my favorite GS, by far. Part of this is my aversion to GMT’s that tend to imitate the design of dive watches, resulting in garish designs that call too much attention to themselves. This GS very much flies under the radar, and the GMT function is implemented with subtlety and class. In that sense, it’s a role model for other watch brands to get creative and design GMT’s that aren’t all about a bi-color bezel.
I have watched this video more than once. Stunner of a watch. A tad concerning for me was the thickness, but you put it in a great perspective. Great review. You should have more subs.

Grand Seiko watches are so beautiful, and the finish is incredible. Today every ignorant wants a Rolex, but GS is something that only few outside watch community knows, and for me this is what makes it so special.
Correct. A couple guys that Ik only got their Rolex watches for clout. Nothing else. GS is killing it right now for those in the know. I love the spring drive movement in other GS models, but damn this watch is sublime. Beautiful yet almost understated at the same time. They also make a non gmt version I believe it’s sbgr261.
Wow what a great review! Does the dial color look the same in person as It does in the video? I only ask because watch dials often appear to be a slightly different color on camera than in person and I just wanted to how similar it actually looks when viewing in person.

Yup, the thickness shouldn't be a concern - it sinks into the wrist enough that it feels relatively thin.
