I did it!!!! I made the Erica Arndt Fabric Scrap Bin from the pattern I purchased at your website!!!! It is the cutiest!!!! My Family loves it!!!I I'm so proud of myself... I wish you could see it. It's a lovely raspberry floral material with a white lining. One thing I forgot to do, even though I had the pattern in front of me and was watching you make one on video while I was sewing, is increase the seam allowance for the lining but, I was so excited that it was coming out right I just forgot. Then, when I turned it out through the opening in the lining one side of each strap was not attached. I had a moment of surprise and then a good laugh. Seam ripped it out and did it again, successfully. Even though the seams did not exactly line up on the boxing, it still came out very nice. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! Next the Dresden Pouch and more Fabric Scrap Bins. This fun...to see your creation completed, it's just exciting. Is it possible you might have a tutorial and pattern for cellphone holders? One that's very padded sand maybe has a loop you can use to attach it to a belt on the waist of a pair of slacks? I love your creations. Oh and saw a video for a puffy quilt, have you ever seen one?
Sounds like you did a great job in the end! We all learn as we make mistakes :) I don't have anything for cell phones right now, but I'll think about it. I have seen puffy quilts, I'm not a fan, so probably won't have a tutorial for that anytime soon...
Made my first one but didn’t have the same ruler as you. It took me a little bit to figure that out and 2 extra pieces. Mine is a little bigger than yours but i still love it. Great thickness for so many things.
You made it so easy..I have a set of Dresden plates but was too nervous to start it. I actually sewed my husband a leisure suit (lol) back in the day but I love small projects. I'd never make a quilt. Bowl cozies, covers, kitchen appliance covers, totes, popcorn & baked potatoe bags, etc. They are so much more functional & that is why your project is a perfect size a a Dresden Skill Level. 👍💓🤸♀️
I thoroughly enjoyed your video, you are delightfully thorough and easy to follow... I can hardly wait to make this cute bag! THANK YOU for taking the time to show the world how to make this darling zipper pouch :)
Great little bag and really pretty. I wondered how to do the Dresden block. You explain things so well. I could make a Dresden now after watching you. All I would need is a ruler template. Great job! 💕🤗
Erica Love your patterns and videos. They are so helpful. I am working on a dresdan plate squishy bag for my sister. Combined two of your patterns Hoping it turns out. Thank you for the videos.
So excited you created a tutorial for this beautiful & sweet dresden pouch!! Can't wait to sew these up for friends and family! Thank you so much Erica!!
I am in the process of making this. I used 5” charm squares, and needed 20 wedges to complete the Dresden, instead of 16. Thank you for this pattern! I can’t wait to finish it! ❤️
Love it!!!! During the year I have been putting together scrap dresdens for a quilt. I've ended up with a couple too many, so this is just the perfect project. Thank you, Erica. Loved watching all your podcasts and tutorials this year. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Pat xx🎄⭐️🐨🇦🇺
I LOVE this bag way too cute 😍 I plan on making one of these bags for my granddaughter that is turning 18 in February and one for my daughter as part of their Christmas gift 🎁 Thanks for the pattern ♥️
Great Dresdan bag tutorial. I love the big stitch quilting, this would be a great small project to try big stitch on. I definitely will be making this bag. Merry Christmas.
Hi Erika, great video as usual! I would love it if you would do a video or sell a pattern for a wallet of sorts with several compartments for fixed circular needles.
I suggest a 16" zipper, I used a 12" b/c that's all I had, but it's easier if you have a bit longer of a zipper. The info is in the description box below the video :)

Someone else commented that if you use the Creative Grids Dresden ruler it takes 20. Erica is using the Lori Holt Pie Ruler.
I used the Missouri Star Quilt Company ruler and had to use 20. I’m glad I read this, I was crazy trying to figure out what I did wrong.
