I love this man. What a Blessing you have shared with us! It's really hard to survive the loss of a child. Believe me I know. I survive day by day. I lost my son 2 years ago on the 30th of this month. My son had just turned 37. My heart goes out to anyone who is living with that loss.
My brother suffers from severe depression. I introduced your channel to him and love he loves Grandpa. Not much makes him happy but your channel really brings laughter and smiles. Thank you ❤❤❤
What a special conversation about God! God says that He loves the world so much that He sent His only Son to die for our sins, so the whoever believes in Him will be reunited with the Father and live with Him forever! What a most precious gift to be given! Whether to trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and to follow Him is the most important decision every human will make in their lives! Love to you, your father, and your family!!
I lost my Mom yesterday 😢 One year to the day after My Dad ❤ pray that they are back together for all eternity. She was not into religion but would say to me the Lord's prayer and remembered all the words. ❤❤❤
This is truly an excellent model of what caregiving to the elderly should be. Dan and his wife shows the world that while life can have it's challenges especially with an elderly parent it is doable. These videos are truthful, realistic, often very funny and most of all compassionate. Continue to love and care for Grandpa Ed in the excellent way you do.
@@paulam.593 It really isn't easy. I cared for my father the last 9 years of his life and while he never suffered from dementia he was very stubborn and set in his ways. He detested bathing and would sometimes refuse to use his urinal. Threw his urine through the window and even down the kitchen sink. His mental function was evaluated twice and both times by different doctors he was found to be of sound mind. That really hit and hurt me. He lost one leg to diabetes and then 7 years later the second one was amputated. That wasn't an easy task caring for him, raising young children. There were many doctor's appointments to attend, bed baths, dressing the legs while they were healing from being amputated ( I learnt to do the dressings myself because transporting him to and from the doctor was a challenge a big challenge). My third son was born 2 years after my dad's first amputation and when he was a year old I realized he was autistic and boy that just added to my boiling pot. But you know what, I learnt a tremendous amount of patience and compassion I started to see life through a different lens. My father passed almost two years now from kidney failure but despite the struggle I still miss his presence. I pray that all elderly would be cared for by loving and compassionate caregivers.

@@kandydewey12863:15 I'm with you on that. I don't think I'll be able to rely on my daughters. They left for college & never really looked back. I'm disabled & rarely hear from them. I was a good mom, they never lacked anything & always knew they could count on me for anything & everything. I think children are just different nowadays.
I lost my only child when he was 18. Tall, handsome, and funny. Thank God he died instantly and knew Jesus as his Savior so that he stepped into the arms of Jesus. At the trial for his murder by an angry and jealous young man I told his murderer that he didn’t accomplish what he intended. He didn’t make my son suffer for his “crime” of being handsome and liked by the girl the murderer wanted. Instead he sent my son to an eternity of joy. But…his dad and I are shattered. We don’t really survive. We force our way through each day without him because we have no choice. Life is a pain filled journey after the loss of the greatest joy life offers. No one should have to live through pain of this magnitude. My heart breaks for grandpa’s poor mom all those years ago.
I am truly & sincerely sorry for your loss. I can't share in that experience (thanks be to God) but I can imagine your sorrows. And to hear that you can't find any happiness makes me even sadder. Rejoice in Christ & your son's eternity in heaven. I'm sure you're son would be devastated to know how you live without joy. Please submit to Christ & have Him bestow His joys into you both. I will pray for you also. Find pleasure in the little things. One day you will all be reunited.
O my! Sorry for your loss. O... May God continue to console and give comforts to you and your husband. I pray you're both able to forgive the murderer. The Lord will help you both. Sorry indeed.
We are all one. He’s still with you, you will meet him again. The soul is eternal. You stay strong and get through the trial god has placed in your life. May God bless you. My aunt also lost my cousin at age 19, he was tall, handsome and funny. So sad. I feel your pain. I lost my brother too recently, a young father. My mother and aunt are staying strong. It’s very hard. Stay positive.
How heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your loss. 💔 My sister-in-law lost her son to colon cancer three years ago. She said if not for her faith, she doesn't know how she would go on. No parent should have to lose their child. My deepest sympathies.
This little exchange was priceless. That you still have these sorts of conversations with your Dad….it’s just beautiful. Everything out of his mouth is a gem.
I'm glad you brought up God to "dad"... I lost my son last October and if I didn't believe in God I would have no hope that I would see him again that in itself gives me peace❤
Yes! That's how I feel about my husband and parents. When my dad was laying in his hospital bed and the doctor said they couldn't do anything else he literally had days left his wife started to challenge the doctor and dad said there's nothing that can be done if God says it's your time. I never thought he believed but it put my heart at some ease knowing I'll see him again.
You can hear and see the love that Grandpa has for all his family. I truly believe he will one day see his family again in Heaven. The love God tells us to have truly lives within his heart. God bless him and all of you.
I’m happy for Grandpa Ed as he has his family to care for him. He would be so lost in a home and they would just medicate him too much so his brain would be even more “clouded”. He knows you all love him and that calms him every day, I’m sure. I have much respect for Dan, Danielle and Mark. ❤️🇨🇦🙏
I've only been watching this old fella for about 5 days but he's such a nice guy. Be so sad when he finally passes on but he's brought happiness and a smile to so many of us.
I wish every elderly person had your dad's support. We need to take care of our people. You guys have a unique, hopeful, and loving situation. Wishing you all the best...
I appreciated this video a lot. The great outdoors, discussions of God. Very uplifting. You are right. Ed never complains. A truly remarkable man, with equally remarkable sons. 🤗💜🏆🎖️
I love how you make real conversation with him. When I did that with my Mom, it was wonderful to see her emerge. Those memories bring me so much warmth through my grief. You give him his voice, and are a wonderful voice for what these lovely individuals can do and need. You are an exemplary and amazing family.
I feel like everyone seeing these videos should feel extremely blessed to be able to follow this wise man and get to know him just a little bit. Thank you for sharing your really awesome father with us, Dan. I am pretty sure he has turned a lot of peoples bad days around. I know he has for me, at least. My mom just passed on June 1st. She was 73. I can't tell you how much joy she got when I would share these updates with her after a long dialysis treatment.. so thank you, Ed, for all your wisdom and for bringing some light into my mother's life. I miss her so very much.
My dad also had dementia but I told him in order to get to Heaven he had to make a decision to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior I also told him he had to ask God for forgiveness for all his sins The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. My dad prayed ..it was a joy knowing that he was going to have eternal life...I saw my dad change to being more gentle and loving ❤❤
Unfortunately even other children who wish they could care for their parents at home aren't able because they are still employed or their health is bad themselves or they have no family assistance to relieve them for short periods of times. I worked as a nsg home nurse as well as home care. As much as you love your parents sometimes it's not practical and hard to trust others to care for their loved as well as they feel guilty they arent able to care for their parents at home.Your family are blessed to be able too.Your dads a great dad.
I could visit with you two for hours. These times are priceless. The best is not only have you shared with so many you have memorialized these moments for yourself.
Absolute mad respect for Dan and Danielle Mark for handling this situation with dignity and courage. Ed is a treasure, but you know there have to be moments... I think people may look at this family and get some education as to what life could be like in similar circumstances. My very best regards to all of you for gathering around him and giving him a last stage of life he deserves. We def love us some Grandpa Ed!
Thank you. Dan for making it possible for your Dad to enjoy his old age and not dumping him in a nursing home. We should all think of the value of taking responsibility for the aged in our lives and not warehousing them. They have a lot to teach us and the memories are invaluable. Thank you Dan and Mark.
How beautiful that this son would talk about God with his 91 year old dad while they walk , my mom has dementia born again later in life a life of depression , drinking and drugs untill she said she had no peace and needed to go to the church I attended she asked my youngest brother to take her to my church but it was closed but she remembered a church I mentioned to her she begged my baby brother to help her find the church , she goes to buy a train ticket and asked the clerk for direction a man comes stands to buy a ticket and over heard her and said he was going to the same church , so off my mom and youngest brother went sitting on a train heading to church the man did not make any kind of conversation when they reached the stop of the church she noticed it was crowded and wanted to thank the man but was gone . When she entered the church and sat through the service pastor Cymbala made the alter call mom ran down as fast as she could asked Jesus into her heart and was truly a changed woman , depression was gone , alcohol gone , drugs gone , 30 years of cigarette gone and began to share with others about Jesus in the streets she was happy and forgiven , now she just sits at night in her bed and talks to Jesus for one more day she lived but she is at peace waiting for God to call her to heaven I now I will miss my mom but grateful for the priveledge to be able to care for mom in her final years . God is good and it’s always a good time to talk with God no matter what the age
I absolutely love your father I will pray for him and just encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. Dan you are so very blessed to still have your parents you really are. God bless each of you.

@@RaptureHead would you let a fox into a chicken coop? Should an unholy person go to Heaven? Saying it its finished. Means my work is done. I accomplished what my FATHER YAHWEH sent me to do. There is a reason scripture states its easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than it is to enter Heaven.

Dan’s love and respect for his Dad is such a blessing! He will have all these posts to see after his precious father moves on to glory!
I am so loving the way Dan converse with grandpa. His patience and kindness to Ed are some of the things that keeps him going
I lost my son in 2017 and it still feels like yesterday. I wouldn’t wish this hurt on anyone.
❤
I lost my youngest son Jacob last year. No words can describe. Your Dad seems like an honorable man
I'm so sorry 😢
How heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your loss. 💔
My sister-in-law lost her son to colon cancer three years ago. She said if not for her faith, she doesn't know how she would go on. No parent should have to lose their child. My deepest sympathies.
Most important question you could have ask him. Keep reminding him of Jesus our savior. God bless you guys
❤️🕊️❤️🕊️❤️ God bless your family. 🕊️❤️🕊️❤️🕊️
How lucky to be able to walk with your Dad! ❤
Dan, that was the best video you ever posted. Thank you! I think everyone needed that 💯👍🏿 let grandpa know everyone loves
It’s great how you care about your Dad Dan
Sending. Prayers. For. Your. Father. To. Find. God. Before. He. Passed. Away. He's. Such. A. Sweet. Man.
Dad is such a loving man. You all are blessed for life in Jesus name Amen ALLELUIA GLORY to God ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
Dad is a jewel ❤
@@kandydewey1286Amen!🙏🙏❤🇨🇵
you take care of your dad bless you and your wife
You can hear and see the love that Grandpa has for all his family. I truly believe he will one day see his family again in Heaven. The love God tells us to have truly lives within his heart. God bless him and all of you.
I’m happy for Grandpa Ed as he has his family to care for him. He would be so lost in a home and they would just medicate him too much so his brain would be even more “clouded”. He knows you all love him and that calms him every day, I’m sure. I have much respect for Dan, Danielle and Mark. ❤️🇨🇦🙏
He invested alot in his family and they are now reciprocating his love and sacrifice.
God love his dear heart and soul. He is such a dear soul. 💕🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🙏💙🙏
💜🇨🇦
The way he always asked how you are is so sweet. Also, he must’ve been a pleasure in his younger years because he still a pleasure now.
I've only been watching this old fella for about 5 days but he's such a nice guy. Be so sad when he finally passes on but he's brought happiness and a smile to so many of us.
Who knows Pop may out live is both. He's a strong old dude🙏🏾
What a sweet soul.. love you and your family. Thanks for sharing him with all of us
You are such a good son Dan 💙 great to see grandad 💙 ❤
Youre a good son Dan. God bless you for talking to Grandpa about God.
Grandpa Ed is sporting a Seinfeld shirt!!! Such a cool cat!
God's definitely got you in the palm of his hands, Grandpa Ed. Have a blessed Sunday ❤️🙏❤️
Dan thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. Thank you for loving your dad so much! Odessa
He’s definitely a foot doctor. He’s still walking at the age of 91 is a major blessing. God bless y’all family 🎉
What a great conversation. It is good that Ed, believes in God. God Bless him!!
God bless him, and bless you all!
He was so worried about mom crying 😭 God Bless you Grandpa 🙏♥️
Nice you talk to your Dad about God! Wonderful for him to think about him seeing his parents and sister again someday. You're a great son!❤
Really really good conversation you had with your Dad, Dan. Proud of you man❤️🇰🇪
Unfortunately even other children who wish they could care for their parents at home aren't able because they are still employed or their health is bad themselves or they have no family assistance to relieve them for short periods of times. I worked as a nsg home nurse as well as home care. As much as you love your parents sometimes it's not practical and hard to trust others to care for their loved as well as they feel guilty they arent able to care for their parents at home.Your family are blessed to be able too.Your dads a great dad.
Your patience and grandpas outlook on life is refreshing ❤
I could visit with you two for hours. These times are priceless. The best is not only have you shared with so many you have memorialized these moments for yourself.
Jesus is our only hope. Knowing there is more waiting on the other side
The family was Jewish
What a blessing you are to your Dad, and what a blessing he is to you. Gratitude personified.
God bless Grandpa. He’s a Legend👍
Dan, you are an AWESOME son! I wish all Dads were loved and taken care of like you care for your Dad! 🥰
You're a great son- you and Mark.
You're a fantastic child to your father. Thank you for sparing him humiliation and honoring him. 💙 All my love and prayers for you all and yours 💙
I love this so much. So glad you changed your life up Dan. Your going to cherish all of these memories with dad. Makes my heart melt
Weren't you blessed to have such a wonderful dad and he is so blessed to have you !
I am sure all the aggravation melts away when he asks how everything has been going with you and is genuinely happy to learn you are OK.
I sure love seeing Grandpa Ed and listening to his loving words. What a special man he is. Dan you are just like him! Love your precious family and your wonderful Dad. You bring alot of joy to our lives and many happy tears...Thank you from the bottom of my heart..❤❤❤
Dad is such a sweetheart and an angel on earth. I love his faith too. God bless him 😊
Thank God! Amen🙏 this makes me so happy to hear him say that, I know God knows his ❤️ and he is a beautiful soul, he will go to the Father, as long as he is born again, meaning believing in the death burial and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ who shed His blood on the cross for our sins, read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV and believe and get saved Amen🙏 I pray you Dan and your lovely family are believers as well 🙏 God bless you all Amen 🙏👰♀️😇🇨🇦
AMEN.
Its not enough to just believe faith without works os dead and abideth alone!
I won’t hear a works based doctrine, sorry Jesus Christ said it is finished and I believe Him🙏
Amen 🙏! Yes, please believe in Jesus Christ death, burial and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus gives us the gift of eternal life in heaven with Him.
@@RaptureHead would you let a fox into a chicken coop? Should an unholy person go to Heaven? Saying it its finished. Means my work is done. I accomplished what my FATHER YAHWEH sent me to do. There is a reason you should abide by (all) scripture. Because if you do, you will become Holy. Holy people enter Heaven. There is a reason scripture states its easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than it is to enter Heaven.
I can't tell you how it makes me feel to watch and listen to your dad. I love and respect his generation so much. What a good man your dad is.
Bless His Heart.♥️
Love Grandpa Ed!! ❤❤❤❤❤ He has such a sweet kind spirit!!
