I also just tried the trial versions of these and honestly sounds absolutely killer - especially for this price and simplicity. Simplicity is the key in my opinion :)
I like that you showed your effects chain, a lot of people wonder how much EQ or compression is applied to the mix that they're hearing in demo videos, they get kinda bummed out when the stock plugin doesn't sound like what they heard on TH-cam
Plugins have come along way. This video makes it clear. I dig my tube amps, but if I could get my plugins in a pedal, I'd be set for stage and studio. I've been using BlueCat Audio Destructor, now their Axiom for years...but I found something new... I found a new plugin that I was waiting to be released for a few months, it was released about 2 weeks ago, the PolyChrome DSP McRocklin Suite. Simple, intuitive, powerful, sounds great. It doesn't try to model amps, load IRs, etc., I think of it more as a tone shaping / sculpting toolset, not modeling. It reminds me of how I use Axiom, and used my Tech21 PSA 1.1 back in the day (now I have a PSA 2.0, which sounds great, just add a DI with headphone out and I could gig it) I'd like PolyChrome DSP in a pedal! MIDI control is a feature they plan to add, it's only v1.0. Worth a look IMO.
Ahhhh yes!! Sick tones and riffing once again Father Euge!! Been looking forward to watching your killer review on these! Well done Bogren, killer stuff. Santa Bogren, please get us Euge's badboy 1Knob! :)
It would be great if you gave a short lesson on some of these riffs you make for the video, I've always sucked trying to play an exact riff by ear even with your visuals playing it.
Amp knob sounds good. I like the tips you have about mixing in these vids. I have learned a thing or two. Old dogs can learn new tricks after all lol. Silver Jubilee is in the room. A video is planned for it? I have the mini. I like it and don't like it kind of thing. That same low end thing you mentioned. Bass knob affecting lower mids instead of bass making it sound throaty or something, plus the higher freqs have less snarl and kerrang than my beast of a Plexi clone. When the warranty expires I might mod its tone stack to behave more like a 2203, or I might just sell it soon. It was a nostalgia purchase. I tried one when I was an '80s kid, but could not afford it. Slash makes them sound good though.
great sound, great riffing, great playin!!! love it! riffs reminds me amon amarth! nothing to diminish or anything, but shit man! that sounds great Amon Amarth album opener :D torilla tavataan!
A guy I met at my summer job years ago used to tell me that "the In Flames sound" was achieved with an 808 pedal with tone and volume maxed and gain at zero, and a 5150. That's pretty much what these amps are.
I have a problem with guitar plugins, even with Bogren Rev C. The guitar sound is always too treble. I´m I an idiot ´couse I cant figure it out? Is there a specific eq value you just have to cut or boost to get the guitars sound right? I´m loosing my mind!
When you need to fit a guitar into a busy mix, you need that treble to cut through everything. When you are jamming by yourself, it’s not that important. AmpKnobs now have a built in IR loader, so you can pick a tone that works for you.
usually you can get a very different sound with changing the IR's on the cabinets. In the case you have that option with your plugin. Sometimes I like to cut at around 4kHz some amps have some "hiss" in that range. Have fun.
But for most guitar players who haven’t recorded a lot, it’s easier to get good results with plug ins. It takes the whole process of getting a mic on a cab out. Playing loud in a room or with a band of course amps are still it.
Hi Euge! Would you like to make some video about sound of painkiller album of Judas Priest? Never saw the band on your channel, maybe you are not fan haha. But the sound on this album is really cool for early 90s. Like what you did bro!
Hey, Euge, my friend makes Soldano Slo clones handmade with very good components, would you be interested to make a review if we send it to you? :) regards from Slovenia
Last Summer I think. More consistent. I produce, record & mix a lot so I need a platform that just works and does the job and since I use Mac I’ve found that Logic does the job the best.
That’s the stuff I use if I use plugins. I’m sure there are lots of videos about Neural stuff so I haven’t bothered ’cos this TH-cam thing is just something I do when I have time. Usually between recording sessions, productions etc.
My code works only for products that aren’t discounted. I believe I mentioned that in the video? If you use my link then the discount is automatically already there where applicable 👌.
It'd be interesting to hear a shootout between the real 5150 and the plugin. The plugin comes pretty close actually. I'm not sure how I feel about no EQ knobs yet. I think TSE x50 is still the 5150 king, but this comes pretty close.
I also just tried the trial versions of these and honestly sounds absolutely killer - especially for this price and simplicity. Simplicity is the key in my opinion :)
Indeed 👌.
Thanks for a killer demo and the mix walkthrough, Euge! 🙌
My pleasure! Thanks!

Hey Euge, those guitar tracks sound killer with the Ampknob BDH sims. Your riffs are very well-tracked as well, tight!
Thanks!
Friggin fantastic. Sounds awesome. What a time for classic metal players to be alive! :)
Rock on! Thanks!

Cool!
Excellent presentation!

Released the Jube video a few days ago: th-cam.com/video/lVmFmTCkL84/w-d-xo.html
I shot this one before that.

God damn, that is THE sound. What gauge strings are you using for Bb? I can never get that to sound right on a 24.75 guitar

V@@@u that sounds phenomenal Euge. 🤣🙏
Thanks!
I'm guessing they used the Green Channel on the BL? And the 6606 word you're looking for is "nasal".
Could be. Yeah sounds about right 😎.
Damn. Is that a real bass? The bass is absolutely killer deep.
Yes 💪.
Sweet🤘
Dude 😎🤟
Hi brother ! I really liked ! I'm trying to apply the discount code, but it's not working. Is it still valid? Hugs from friend Ferdinand
Hi! Should be or then just use my affiliate link so the discount is already there 👌.

Bogren basically said it all what I was about to say👌😎.
The guitar plugins have gotten better lately but the real tube amps are still absolutely superior!!!

Oh I like them. Lets see if / when I have time. I’m pretty sure that a cranked JCM800 2203 does the job like on anything 😎💪.
Thanks for answer! Really looking forward to enjoy your in-depth review! And of course killing riffs and solos
Thanks!

So you changed to Logic? How do you like it so far, compared to Cubase?
Last Summer I think.
More consistent. I produce, record & mix a lot so I need a platform that just works and does the job and since I use Mac I’ve found that Logic does the job the best.
Which one did you prefer?
All. Three different flavours to spice up the mix with hardly any post EQ 👌.
Whats your favorite ampknob?
I'm waiting for the Ampknob Badboy edition ;)
BluGuitar’s upcoming AMP X will have an analog modeling of that. They’ve been working with The Bad Boy a few monts now 👌.
Is your logic template for sale?
I have several but haven’t sold any of them but just give them to my online students 👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V where can I find out more info about your online course?

Cubase pro or Logic pro for mac? Have seen you using cubase too
I use mostly Logic but occasionally Cubase too. They both do the job.
hi, why no reviews of Neural DSP plugins?
I don’t have any.
@@EugeValovirta230V All the Fortin's are Marshalls, mostly plexi..they are so good lol 15 day demo, the Soldano is the best
I have real Marshalls so no need 😎. I’m sure their stuff is great if one is into computers but I like real stuff more. But that’s just me 🤷.
@@EugeValovirta230V but you reviewed other plugins, why avoid the best ones out there?

Just had to stop by and say the auto captioning thinks you introduce yourself as El Governor 🤣🤣
