It's not surprising to see Europe win competitions like this. One factor, population - Europe's is more than twice that of the US. That provides twice as many potentially promising athletes. Having said that, Europe would surely beat China as well... Another even bigger factor is the sport programs that each country has. In this case, it's all in Europe's favor.
Wrong, the US is so diverse and sports is a huge industry out there. In every single sport they have a bunch of pro athletes unlike the European countries.

might want to make this Europe vs North America as the US isn't really into it. you don't get enough coverage as it is and this is what you do with it.
Meechooilka I thought so too! I used to run the 800 in highschool and do high jump. Was 4th in the state. Even some highschoolers put in more effort. It blew me away watching this.
@@moselleconger4156 Meets like this is less about time and more about placing. It is basically a dual meet between the US and Europe. You get points based on your placement so the runners tend to keep it safe playing off of strategy and less about trying to run a fast time. Keep in mind, this meet was also right before the world championships so they weren't going to kill themselves trying to run a world lead time going into a Global Championship that's more important. This is more of a fun tune up.

why was Bor disqualified in the steeplechase? thanks*
That first lap of women's 800 was a joke. And final times not any better. 10 seconds behind WL.
