There are three things that set Jesse Ventura apart from virtually all American politicians (very few exceptions).
1. He is honest.
2. He was not bribed by "campaign contributors".
3. He is fair-minded, not favoring Democrats over Republicans, or vice-versa, just because of the D or R.

Jesse Ventura was a great governor too. He was great for Minnesota.
He deserves props for some of his political appointments (Jan Malcolm) and delivering yearly summertime tax rebates (Jesse Checks.) He kept the fees on automobile tabs reasonable. There was also plenty of unnecessary political drama though, which he himself initiated and just didn’t have to happen. Overall I would say he was solid.
