Use hook and loop dots, tapes to assist handling controls and objects. These self adhesive pieces can be hook only, loop only, black color or white color.
Use lever controls, instead of rounded knobs for taps, etc.
Use self adhesive colored dots on different controls, objects, surfaces etc. This enables our diaper staff to follow our instructions better.
"Move the control or knob, so that the red dots are together".
Use self adhesive florescent tapes on surfaces, controls, edges for low lighting situations. As necessary, supplement these with battery or mains powered lighting, which may also be movement sensitive.
Sharp edges, sharp corners of controls and surfaces should not cause injury to our bodies. There are a few methods to enhance this additional protection.
Table surfaces and corners have poorly defined borders and edges. These can be defined more clearly with many methods. Surface coverings, colors, etc.
There are now many ways to voice command many devices. Curtains, doors, alarms, lighting, computers and smartphone. There are rapidly changing.

Was looking on TH-cam for ways to help my grandson (quadriplegic) to be able to go hunting and found your videos. We are just in the process of remodeling my son's house. Built in 1861 it's a challenge. Thank you for the videos.

Remodeling any home is challenging, but a house built in 1861 must have an entirely different set of challenges. As your grandson transitions home you may enjoy a podcast we recorded on that subject: www.spinalcord.com/sci-life-uncovered/episode-2 ..... There are other podcasts linked to that one which the family may also want to review. Good Luck, I hope his recovery exceeds all expectations.

Any advice on bathroom things? You can’t feel when it time to use the toilet number one and two? My son, is paralyzed from the waist down. He can’t get his bladder or bowel trained. He has several mishaps daily and wets his bed please and help is greatly appreciated. I have never experienced any like this as he is 32 years old.

Good job Mason. I special like your recommendation to have your oven up higher. My house has a wall oven and I love it. I'm paralyzed so my balance isn't the greatest but I have no problem cooking turkeys with a wall oven.
PS. I cook a lot of turkeys 😁
