Samurai champloo is probably my favorite Watanabe series. Something about Fuu's journey and the overall more hopeful outlook the series had vs Bebop and even Dandy resonated more with me.
"Shiki No uta" and "Living Inside The Shell" from Ghost in The Shell are the two anime endings that I find echo in the back of my mind late at night when everything is quiet. It's almost a nostalgic feeling.
Your rendition of is not dissimilar from those echoes, but it is also a bit different too. Perhaps it will come to echo there as well. I know I wouldn't mind it.
I forgot how good Samurai Champloo's outro was... Ami did an awesome job with this cover!
