Grieving can take a lifetime. You really never get over the death of a loved one. You learn to live with the pain.

I attended Ombaye's funeral service at NCSDAC yet I hadn't met him but I knew his mother Prof. Getui through NACC. I was amazed at the kind of person he was as narrated by the speakers. Even at the funeral you could feel the energy Prof. Getui has narrated. I have never forgotten this experience to date, his name still rings. True definition of a life well lived. Prof. Getuí is a true definition of a Christian in her lifestyle. May God continue to comfort and keep you. Thank you Justus for sharing this moment with us.

Very true. I've been there myself before. I lost my first born son who was very close to me despite being a father of three kids himself. Sometimes his loud cheerful laughters resonate frequently in my hears and I end up either smiling or laughing to myself unknowingly. Yes, it'll be important to share grief with others who are willing or release the emotions through some support groups.

Grieving is a lifetime. I lost my favorite sister, she raised me then my mother. Im sorry to say this but I saw my father struggling to come with the reality .My Father followed her in a months time.i had just left the country and then a phone call followed me,i was broken,I'm still struggling up to this moment to come in terms that they are not there.Infact I live in abroad and I used and travel every year to spend time with them but since then I have never gone back.I understand mama what you're going through.

Pole sana Mary. May god bring comfort to you. I lost my sons father to a road accident in 2016. I do not go a day without thinking of him and what could have been. I was stuck in my grief for a long time and I was angry with him and sometimes I still am for him leaving us. He was driving home very late at night after a long shift at the hospital. He never liked to drive at night knowing the risk on the roads in Kenya but he did.
