  • Helene is forecast to make landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast on Thursday. The system just entered the southern Gulf of Mexico where it's expected to strengthen over the next 24 hours. Between 10 to 15 feet of storm surge is forecast for areas including Keaton Beach, Florida where FOX Weather Storm Specialist Mike Seidel is reporting live.

    They say Helene is 250 miles across,Monster Storm! Full Moon was Sept 24 and New Moon is Oct 3 ! Bad week scenario with King tides likely! Tampa Bay water was 86 degrees today. Some Planetary Alignment Also!! 🙏

    2024 and they still don't know how to build Hurricane Proof homes. I was in Naples in the 90s and thankfully missed Hurricane Andrew in 92. People down there are like the folks in Tornado Alley with "it's not gonna hit me"....famous last words.
