    Really Nice way to generarte notes, basically random rythms

    Awesome 😎 little Grid tip for you, if you drag any selected module to the node of another module it will automatically create a connection for you. For example where you dragged the Mod Out modules to the Dice modules, instead of placing and then manually creating a connection, you could have placed the mouse cursor over the output node of the Dice, while dragging the Mod Out, if that makes sense. Speeds up workflow while working in the Grid 😊

    Very clear tutorial. As I only have an iPad I will try to recreate this with miRack (vcv rack for iOS). Hope I find the right modules there, too.

      Thanks man :)
      Am pretty sure you can achieve the same results (maybe even more) with VCV rack or similar software ;)

    Yes Ollie nice Vid been waiting for this one for a while. Definitely recommend you xpand on this to show how powerful the note grid can be and what elements you could add to take this further.

      Hey Mark,
      Thank man, tbh am not sure what to add more beside some melodic generators on this one ? do you have any suggestions ? ;)

    you can shape the velocity with a note velocity device after the arp

    • @olliepsy
      @olliepsy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, but you're complicating your chain instead of having everything in once place.

    • @Heshamelfakharani

      @@olliepsy yeah i agree

  • @DanRamone81
    @DanRamone81 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    the reason why the arpeggiator doesnt give you full velocity is because the incoming note has not max velocity. Arpeggiator velocity control is percentage of the velocity of an incoming note. So if the incoming note has a velocity of 80%, a 100% velocity on the arpeggiator will be max 80%.

    • @olliepsy
      @olliepsy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was my first thought but even when the note is set to max velocity "127" as showen in the tutorial @01:22 you still don't get teh full range.

    • @DanRamone81
      @DanRamone81 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@olliepsy oh i missed that part, but i've tried by myself before writing and i had 100% velocity in serum. What is strange it's the velocity "moving" up and down in serum when u start playback like on 1:28 and 1:33, before staying at a fixed value.

    • @olliepsy
      @olliepsy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanRamone81 pretty weird indeed, guess am gonna end up sending a bug report ^^

    I didn't get why you used the XOR module: you can simply use the "chance" linked to the "select" module and you have the note probability in the right verse (0% = 0 notes, 100% = 100% notes), without have to use the XOR
