southwest FO once let me in the flight deck before takeoff while we were at the gate, he also let me start the APU, turn the on the seatbelt signs, and he helped me plan the flight route and even walked me through METARS on the FMC, i’ll never forget that 💙❤💛
I'm amazed how quick it took to set the plane up from delivery to revenue service.
Yep, the whole delivery and setup took just 3 mins 19 seconds! 😂
Scary
Southwest is truly the best airline to me. I have flown with you guys since I was a baby
I love when they say "Safety" with the 737 max
its not like they all crashed lol
Many are still flying safely today.
737 Max variant is safe, as long it's not the 737 Max 8!
Is it safe lol. MCAS is fixed and the plug door thing wasn’t even specific to max the my had the same one. Also southwest doesn’t fly planes with plug doors
Your so funny it actually makes me mad 😐👉🚪
It’s The Big Ern! I love the love airline. As a #Milwaukee resident, we fly SWA out of MKE a lot and I hope the #Southwest one day upgrade’s their Milwaukee focus city to a hub. Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
This is definitely a WoW moment! Great work SWA❤️!
Was that Big Ern doing a selfie by the engine?
Yes!
I noticed that too!
I saw that, he was also with another pilot doing what seemed to be a pre flight. Glad to see someone as cool and nice as Big Ern on here, he deserves it. Also happy to see some other fans of his on here, he is severely underrated in the TH-cam aviation community.
The last word to use when talking about Boeing is SAFETY!
I mean for DECADES Boeing was THE standard for aircraft safety, then they merged with McDonald Douglas and it all fell apart.
I love the heart decoration. It looks really nice in the planes I’ve been on a southwest plane twice. I’ve just been on them the same day on vacation but they were two different planes so if only we been on them for that anyways, I really love her cause it looks nice in themand I really love your brand too
I always assumed everything was done in Seattle. Good to know
Yeah, I wondered why they always fly their new planes to Phoenix instead of any other operating base.
They go to Phoenix because it’s the Southwestern U.S. 😂
I spotted big Ern taking a selfie! What type of software do they upload?
this is unrealistic
the taxi at the beginning wasn’t fast enough
Door: *kaboom*
Boeing went from 16th highest ranked DEI incubator in 2022 to 12th in 2023. Number of manufacturing and QC issues skyrocketed during this time frame. Heck of a coincidence.
Silly question (I've got lots of 'em): Why the "Q" letter on the tail number? What happened to "WN" / "SW"?
Only the -700s had tail numbers ending with WN/SW
-800s/ MAX8s start with 1 or 8 and usually end with one letter. The exception being N500WR
@@Colorado_Ronin - "Today I learned..."
👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for clearing that up for me!!
@@Colorado_RoninAlso the -300s, but those were retired in 2018
@@EthansAviation_ Yeah, that’s why I didn’t mention it
Nice!
I choose life
💙❤️💛
There are reports by an engineer who worked on these planes from Boeing saying he would not fly on one. I fear these planes are not safe to fly.
If you’d afraid, keep in mind that these incidents are very rare and almost always non fatal. Over 3500 Boeing planes fly every day. The odds are so minimal. Also, many of the latest issues are likely because of how united maintains their aircraft.
"Less safe" is the best way to put it. I definitely wouldn't fly on any built since Calhoun took over if I could help it. With the right app you can plan trips based on the equipment used. Easy enough to exclude Boeing.
@@That_transportation_guyoh but 737 Max 8 has too many accident in a year.
I hope they fixed that door issue
Southwest doesn’t operate any of the affected Max 9
We need to know if you are inspecting your max planes
That’s a stupid question to begin with.
Southwest does not fly any -9s
@@09impala that’s irrelevant, 8’s have had substantially worse issues
Partners at Boeing... Proceeds saying n 1 priority is safety LMFAO
Two captians? Should have sent an FO on that delivery trip. Would have saved the company some money.
Next time I'll have then call you before making arrangments
You had better pray! Or better yet, drive!
Southwest… why are you avoiding what happened on alaska. These planes arent safe
Those were -900s 🤦🏼♂️
@@4literthey were still maxes
KO-im6sm… why are you avoiding researching about aviation before commenting?
Wd
I’m sorry did everyone forget about all the people that died on that airplane model?
It’s fixed, those problems with MCAS were on the 2019 and older models which have also been fixed
that's what we are celebrating it's population control!
it’s fixed, as the person who said it above me
i got to fly on this same plane, it was very comfortable without any issues
@@thesuperrobertlolso long as the larger engines are tacked on there higher/further forward and accounted for via software patches, nothings “fixed”
It is important to respect those who died due to a very bad practice, but at the same time no company will ever shut down a successful model which it is. Not only that, but they did deal with the problem. Also, all the other Boeing related incidents appear to be more like one time things and less like repetitive issues.
Retire those -700’s please!!
No I love the 700's
They would if Boeing can get their shit together and get the Max 7 ready😭
They are, every month
@@TJBellamy99Exactly!
@@TJBellamy99 - waiting for the FAA to certify the MAX 7 as theyre dragging their feet. According to Reuters, the MAX 7 is scheduled for delivery in 2024. So far, Southwest and Allegiant are the only US carriers to order the MAX 7
Max 8.....you think this will make people more likely to fly your airline? FFS, Southwest is completely off my list at this point. Filters when searching now exclude SW.
Southwest has never had a fatal accident with the max 8, nor has any other airline in north america
Shontaku, you have issues paying attention to the media, I know you are a little scared kid that cant ride on one of these but in reality its all fixed, also they dont have the Max 9 which is the one that has been being backlashed on. Ive flown on the max for a very long time already, am I dead? No. Get your mind out of the internet dude
Safety? No thanks max…
1:05 doesn't happen at Alaska. Although unrealistic, I hope Southwest abandons Boeing someday and go to Airbus. Boeing is rotten to the core and can't be turned around. That's obvious with two plane crashes and numerous new issues since.
Listen, most of the new issues are related to airline’s maintenance practices which are disgusting. Not only that, but over 3,500 Boeing flights fly everyday without a single problem. The problem with Boeing is how much bad publicity one incident has generated since what they did with MCAS. Not to mention the 777x is going to change aviation.
This isnt alaska airlines little kid, southwest has been flying these planes without a single airbus in their fleet for YEARS, giving up on Boeing would be retarded. I have flown the max 8 more than the NEO and I can say its very nice. Am I dead? No, and dont go saying “tell that to the dead people that happened years ago” pfft that was fixed a very long time ago. Please tell me when southwest had a door exploding, go on.
@@Londres104 After seeing this comment for just 6 months, I’d agree with you. The MAX family has no errors and people now think boeing is just a horrible company. People make mistakes, and mistakes can be resolved by a quick fix.
From the comment he’s saying, is just some idiot who hasn’t ACTUALLY rode the MAX family or either boeing aircraft. To be fair, I rode on the MAX 8 and it was a smooth ride from my perspective. And i’ve honestly loved the aircraft more the the A320NEO.
Pls add A320 on southwest
how many casualties will it cause
none
Odds are- None. 3500 Boeing planes fly everyday. How many times does one have a problem?
Bro really
@@Germanlepoard2a7v yes, really. If you’re talking about that one plane, the odds are so low.
