  • This is a lesson on words and sentences connected to being sick. Now you can tell people you feel like crap or that you need pain killers! :)

    Hey all Norwegian learners!
The language I'm teaching is not Bokmål nor Nynorsk. It's an east dialect and I don't think you will have much problem with bokmål after this. :) And everyone will understand this.
I am Norwegian, from Norway. Born and raised. I live in Oslo, with my husband and son.
    ---------------------------------------
I started filming with my webcam. Then i moved on to a Flip, then a Flip Mino HD. Then followed my iPhone, and Now I have a Panasonic HC-V210 :)
    I edit with Vegas Pro.
    ---------------------------------------
Extra info about some of the videos is found here:
    karinawinnem.co...
    - This is also my norwegian blog. To get everything in one place!

very useful phrases. Also, the white font color on each word is very clear, readable/legible and helpful (looks like a blackboard marker). Please, keep this font (looks like the Verdana word font),

Tak! my Grandpa was from Bergen (also Mormor's parents) and my farfar and farmor from Sweden. So when I hear Scandinavian languages I remember them being spoken at family gatherings but only picture old people speaking them! So nice to see a young person and try to learn :)

Jeg er tett i nesa = My nose is stuffed. If you translate it word for word it says I am stuffed(clogged) in nose.
Hope that helps out. Great Lesson. Thanks for your videos.

Another way we convey we have a cold in England is to say " I have a runny nose " or "Jeg har en rennende nese " in Norwegian .

Hi, Thanks for all your efforts regarding helping others to learn Norwegian language, it is about few months that i have started learning Norwegian, and as I learnt from different teachers and sources it is wrong or in a better word very uncommon and weird in Norwegian language and culture to say "I love you / Jeg elsker deg" am I right? if yes why? and what is the substitution expression or sentence for it?

God bedring= "Get well soon" or "(I wish you) a speedy recovery".
I suppose the literal translation of "bedring" would be "recuperation"

***** uuuh, yes that is probably the right thing to translate with. But yes "Get well soon" is the expression I should have translated with ^^

Norwegian Teacher - Karin You are funny. What is the difference between your youtube channel and your videos on patreon?

    • @NorwegianTeacher
      @NorwegianTeacher  9 ปีที่แล้ว

olier1 Patreon is pretty much just for Personal Video Blogs in Norwegian, where all who pledge $1 and more get to see, and get to know me a little better! :)
Most there arent extra videos, but perks like transcripts, emails and videoconferenses for the pledges. So it is not a place for more videoes or other videos acually :) Hope that made sense! :)

    1) Stop eating ready-made pizza's
    2) Stop eating processed food from a plastic packet or tin.
    3) Get outdoors more and breath the fresh clean mountain area.
    4) Don't live in a city
and you won't get sick. :-)
