oh the video game illusions, I love it how it breaks immediately when you cross the playable area borders but then again from a map maker perspective I love seeing maps the way they were built.
I noticed some NPCs by the gate talking about what was beyond those walls and I immediately knew it was a cut combat zone area or major mission. Like why the fuck is half of Pacifica (the most lawless section of the city, famed for its gangs and dysfunction) just walled off? Sadly it doesn't look like they got far with that section so who knows if we'll ever see it implemented. There's also a crime in progress side gig across the highway from that section where the scavs are supposedly trying to break into an old Militech bunker, I'd love to know if the bunker actually exists and was cut cause that was such a tease hearing about a bunker full of gear supposedly right on the other side of a door but with no way in.
I can only imagine that they had to cut all this to meet their deadlines. Then they reintroduced this whole area in the dlc with extra content. If only they had more time and could make the whole game initially and actually get a few expansions rather than one expansion.

That's partially untrue, the game does a really good job to hide stuff you shouldn't be able to see, in many cases I get inside a building and everything turns white because the game think I shouldn't be able to see the building anymore but since I'm also inside the building it unloads everything around it, it may also be that the game loads all the stuff related to that building way before you can get in so it's ready to be entered when you get close to it It also may be a problem with the fact that this building should pretty much always be visible since it's one of the focal points of the map since you can see it from pretty much everywhere, unless you're in the city itself

I dont think so. This starts to sound the way people expected Mirror's Edge Catalyst to have those detailed out of bound areas as DLC areas. These are cut content most likely and because of the messy launch we will not get lots of new areas as most of their time will go into fixing the game rather than building something new or just adding details.
I think this will be DLC because on the news broadcasters said that this area is where they dump all the cyberpsychos and they blocked off this area because it’s too dangerous. That’s why you see a helicopter shooting the tall building during that voodoo boys mission.
@@SSaNNEE100 If CDPR does what they did with Witcher 3 (they kinda confirmed they will), then paid DLC's will include new explorable areas.
