    After my Bar Mitzvah, I went to atheism, then on to New Age spiritism, to lay Buddhism (Tibetan and Zen), then A Course in Miracles (a false, Gnostic, Jesus) and then followed a Hindu Guru and his tradition for several years. Went to school, got my MA in Comparative Religion (thought I would teach), and did nothing more until a crisis time and then called out to Jesus out of desperation. Then, by Christian apologetics, I came to believe that Jesus was the promised Jewish Messiah and I got baptized just over 7 years ago.

    I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
    My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
    He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
    Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
    The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
    The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
    The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
    The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

    Being an American girl growing up hearing about Jesus and still never fully understanding nor believing it took looking at Jewish roots for me to understand who Jesus was and why he is so important. Christians today that know the Messiah have all the thanks to give to the Jewish ppl. I would have never known exactly who Jesus was just reading the "new testament " which I don't like to call it that but I only understood through the Jewish prophets who Jesus was and exactly how important he was and how the promise of him came from the beginning of sin with Eve which is very powerful when you reach understanding so thank you to the chosen ppl for bring all ppl the promise of salvation through the Messiah Yeshua.

      sarah mcknight We have to give thanks only to God our LORD alone, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by Christ Jesus.
      Colossians 3:17
      And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.
      Deuteronomy 7:7-8
      The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
      8 But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
      For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
      Genesis 12:3
      And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
      Genesis 14:18-20
      And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
      19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
      20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
      Romans 2:12
      For there is no respect of persons with God.
      Ephesians 5:20
      Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
      Psalm 34:1
      I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

    I've watched these testimonies many times over the years and their power to move and convict is wonderful and undiminished. Not to dismiss anyone's witness who isn't jewish - for all and of all nations are powerful and wonderful - but these manifest an innate truth and authority because they're tied to the many promises of Israel's return, and which God reiterates so often all through His Word. Something in us rejoices and gets that profoundly! Divine design. Each witness is a cooling splash of water upon the lips of the soul to refresh and remind us of all that God promised - first and last - and to whosoever, that salvation is of the jews. A restless, happy-teared, joyful thing! I am so thankful for this deepening well; this living, ascending fountain of faithful voices.

It was about that time that I also learned my mother's mother was Jewish. I,really like that. @@JazzLoverKhurram "good news" are you referring to the Gospel (which means "good news")? Because if so you have it all wrong.
      The gospel is not about your good words, good deeds, or good thoughts. The gospel is good news because we do not speak good words, or do good deeds. And because of this all of humanity is doomed to death and hell. The gospel is good news, because by Jesus death our evil deeds, thoughts, and words can be redeemed if we follow Him.

      I understand what you are saying. But the issue is not personal growth here. God wants us to grow. The issue is: how does a holy Creator deal with our sin? No matter how much personal growth we may have obtained, we have done evil things. I have lied, coveted, committed adultery in my heart, stolen, etc. Does God just forget about it? Does just say , “Let’s pretend it never happened.” If so, how can He be just. As Avraham said to Him:
      Genesis 18:25
      ...........Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
      He must do right. He must reward everyone according to what they have done.
      Deuteronomy 27:26
      Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
      Anyone who does not keep ALL the words of God’s Torah is cursed. But no one can.
      Psalms 14:3
      They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy:
      there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
      God cannot allow sin in His Presence. He removed Adam and Chavvah (Eve) out of the Garden of Eden (where His Visible Presence was) for this reason. All humans are in a fallen state and cannot be in His Presence. But God knew this would happen ahead of time. He had already set in motion a rescue plan for the human race. Right after Adam and Eve fell, as Divine Judgment was passed, God left them with a huge ray of hope:
      Genesis 3:15
      And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
      The Seed of the Woman would come and crush the head of HaNachash (the Serpent - HaShatan). In the process, the Seed’s heel would be bruised. But , HaZera (the Seed) would fix the mess that Adam and Eve had created in the Garden. And the means by which the Seed would do so was further hinted at:
      Genesis 3:7
      And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
      Genesis 3:21
      Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
      Humans’ sin had brought guilt and shame for the first time. The natural reaction to hide from God had started. They tried to do so by their own efforts , by seeing fig leaves together and making clothes. But HaShem did not let them keep those. He gave them clothing made of skins or hide. For the first time in Creation, physical non-peaceful death occurred. 2 innocent animals were killed to cover the guilt of the guilty. Blood was shed. This idea continues into the Torah:
      Leviticus 17:11
      For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
      It is HaDam (the blood) that makes Kaphar (atonement) for nephesh (the soul. Therefore, Elohim instituted Qurbanot (sacrifices) in the Torah. The Israelite would bring a lamb, ram, bull, dove, goat, etc..as prescribed by HaShem to HaMishkan (the Tabernacle) and later Beit HaMikdash (the Temple) to the Kohenim (the priests). Before the animal was offered on the Altar (Mizbeach) the offerer would place his/her hands on the head of the animal and symbolically transfer their sin (Chataah) to it. The innocent dying for the guilty. Yet, those animal sacrifice could not change the actual heart of the person offering. It couldn’t deal with the internal problem of sin, which the Torah exposes in us. Those sacrifices were never meant to be the goal of the Torah. If so, the Israelite would be offering animals forever , with no way to change the heart.
      The Tanakh pointed Israel to HaMashiach (the Messiah), who would be able to take away sin and change the heart. He as the Seed of the Woman, would have His heel bruised. His bruises and death would heal Israel and the Gentiles.
      Isaiah 53:4-6
      Surely he hath borne our griefs,
      and carried our sorrows:
      yet we did esteem him stricken,
      smitten of God, and afflicted.
      But he was wounded for our transgressions,
      he was bruised for our iniquities:
      the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
      and with his stripes we are healed.
      All we like sheep have gone astray;
      we have turned every one to his own way;
      and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
      Just as sin was transferred to the animal before it was slaughtered, HaShem would lay the iniquity of us all on HaZeroah YHVH (the Arm of the LORD - The Messiah).
      Isaiah 53:11
      He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:
      by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many;
      for he shall bear their iniquities.
      By the Messiah’s experience of torture and death, He would justify many. He bore the iniquity of Israel.
      Psalms 69:9
      For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up;
      and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
      If Israel would trust in the Messiah, and what He did for them, they would be justified before God. Their sins would no longer be counted against them, as their father Abraham:
      Genesis 15:6
      And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
      It’s Avraham’s faith in HaShem that counted for righteousness, not a physical ritual. And it is faith in the Messiah that counts for righteousness, not the physical rituals of the Torah. As Melek David (King David) said:
      Psalms 51:16-17
      For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it:
      thou delightest not in burnt offering.
      The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
      a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
      As HaNavi Yeshiyahu (the Prophet Isaiah) said:
      Isaiah 1:10-11
      Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom;
      give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
      To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD:
      I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts;
      and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
      Our religious acts, even when given by God, cannot justify us in and of themselves. It is the heart that Elohim looks at. And it is the heart of Israel and the Gentiles that must be changed. So, Brith HaChadashah (the New Covenant) in Mashiach would come:
      Jeremiah 31:31-33
      Behold, the days come, saith the LORD,
      that I will make a new covenant
      with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
      Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers
      in the day that I took them by the hand
      to bring them out of the land of Egypt;
      which my covenant they brake,
      although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
      But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;
      After those days, saith the LORD,
      I will put my law in their inward parts,
      and write it in their hearts;
      and will be their God,
      and they shall be my people.
      HaBrith (the Covenant) that HaShem made with HaAm Yisrael (the people of Israel on Sinai was broken time and time again, even though HaShem had done the most incredible supernatural miracles ever done for a nation in human history. Why? Because their hearts and minds needed to be changed (renovated). The New Covenant, ratified with the blood of the Messiah, would do more than cover the guilty . It would have the Torah written in the heart of the Israelite. God’s Law would become a part of who they were. It would no longer be simply written on a scroll or on tablets of stone. How would this happen? HaNavi Yehetzqel (the Prophet Ezekiel) told us:
      Ezekiel 36:24-27
      For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
      Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
      Israel will one day fully repent and turn to HaShem and recognize Mashiach as Yeshua me Natzret (Jesus of Nazareth). HaShem will put His Spirit (Ruach Elohim) in them. His Spirit would change their hearts so that they would be able to walk in Mitzvot Torah (commandments of the Law) and do them. Through the Messiah, Israel will be revived spiritually ...or...BORN AGAIN. Not by rituals, but by the Spirit of God, made possible by the death of Mashiach.

    This is my personal testimony.
    I used to believe that I was super strong, super smart, capable of taking care of myself, and even though I have always been a believer, my faith in God wasn't as strong as it was in myself.
    Two years ago I had a serious personal problem with my family, without going into details; at that point, my family was my God, they were the reason I live for, in other words, my "EVERYTHING", but due to the issue with them one day they ALL, everybody abandoned me, over the night... I was left without anything and anyone to talk to. Months passed by, on which I couldn't sleep, lost my appetite and also my will to live. I pretended for a while that I was fine cus I full of pride so I couldn’t admit that this time I wasn’t gonna be able to fix myself…until I couldn't take it any longer.
    One night when the pain was unbearable, and desperation took over me, finally, I realized that I couldn’t keep living that way, so I started planning how to kill myself, I gave some thoughts to the idea because I wanted to be effective and final, I needed to stop the pain but before I did it I got on my knee, very angry with God, at 3 something am, I screamed to God "IF YOU CARE ABOUT ME, DO SOMETHING, BECAUSE I CAN'T DO THIS ANY LONGER!!!, I AM A GOOD PERSON AND YOU KNOW IT!!!
    I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN ANY LONGER!!! I DON'T WANT THIS LIFE ANY MORE!!, IF YOU DON'T DO SOMETHING I AM!!!
    IF YOU SAVE ME I PROMISE I WILL DEDICATE THE REST OF MY LIFE TO YOU!!!”
    After this, all I remember comes to me like a flashback, I swear, I don't know how I got back to my bed( my last memory was been on my knee by my bed). Later on( I am not sure how long it passed), on this flashback I opened my eyes for a second and my room was full of extraordinary light, so strong I couldn't keep my eyes open, I was on a fetal position on my bed resting on Jesus's lap(I didn't need to see his face because the love and peace that overcame my body, the feeling that fulfilled my inner being was screaming his presence). I woke up at 10:35am as A TOTAL NEW PERSON, I felt like I have lost a heavyweight I was carrying on, I was radiant, hunger, happy and full of hopes and plans for my life... Jesus saved me! he cleansed my spirit from evil desires OVER THE NIGHT! just the way my family forsakes me. I have been wanting to give my testimony for almost 2 years, I guess the Lord decided that today was the day, he is REAL people, he is, and all we have to do is to redeem ourselves to him and ask for help, he is waiting for us to do so, this is mentioned in the Bible on Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
    We don't have to suffer alone, Jesus died for us, so we can live an abundant and long life.
    My feeling towards my family hasn’t changed at all, if anything I love them more than ever, nor I hold any negative feelings against them, I still will give my life for any of them, the only difference now is that I will ask Jesus first if he is ok with this.
    To the Lord be the glory!
    God bless you all.

    He is faithful who has called us. Joy, count it all joy....if the end is knowing Jesus. Thank you for your witness.
