If you don't know exactly how talented Namsaknoi was. This will prove he had endured a lot for his Muaythai career.
    >> Saenchai has 86.81% win percentage (349 fights and 303 wins)
    >> Buakaw has 86.90% (275 fights and 239 wins)
    >> Rodtang has 83.69% (319 fights and 267 wins)
    >> Namsaknoi has 93.33%!! (300 fights and 280 wins!!)
Such a great and underrated fighter. His nickname is 'The Emperor'

Lol. Finally you caught up to him. Quite a few of my friends trained with him during his pretty long tenure at Evolve in Singapore. He's a pretty friendly dude they tell me. They'd even play football with him every now and then in the weekends.
Unfortunately I can't afford the fees at Evolve haha so I never met him.
Good to see him still doing well.

Samkor was one scary dude, only one trick up his sleeve and he beat the best of all those all-around great technicians. Namsaknoi lost to him too! Wow, didn't know that.

We have a tripod, but we had to lone it to someone else on an emergency basis just before the shoot, so they could document another project for us. Thank you for the suggestion, but yes, we understand that a tripod helps with a telephoto lens. In this case it just could not be helped. It was either shoot the interview with a shakey image, or don't shoot it. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances. I'm glad you enjoyed the interview just the same!

Hi Sylvie ,I know it kinda off topic but , Can you tell me how you felt / reacted the first time you got cut in a fight from a elbow? I was cut from an elbow training last week it was kind of unsettling because of the amount of blood , I wondered to myself when I fight would I have the stomach to keep fighting ! Is this something that just comes with time and training ? , love training getting ready for my first burner at my school ! Keep up the great work and fights Mike

Do you know if Namsaknoi is still teaching at his gym in Ko Pha Ngan? there is a message on his Facebook from late 2017 saying he is leaving the gym and island. Elsewhere online it says he is an instructor at Rattachai gym in Phuket (but not on rattachais website).

He is absolutly one of the best but he was talking about pushkicks. Most of the thais teaches and use pushkicks. His idol Samart use lots of pushkicks.

    • @8limbsUs

He does not. He is moving between opportunities, currently spending a month at Attachai's gym in Bangkok while Attachai is on Seminar tour

He was in koh phan ngan when I trained the Kru Chinnarach whose gym was very close. This time I don't have time to go down South and was planning to train at Attachai's gym in Bangkok. . Result either way as both are top notch ! Thanks for that update! 🙌🏼

Is it like a judo foot trip?

    • @8limbsUs

Here is my husband's post on the illegal foot trips in Muay Thai: 8limbsus.com/muay-thai-forum/topic/1118-illegal-foot-sweeps-in-muay-thai-separations-from-judo/ --- but since the 2000s or so various other foot trips and sweeps have crept into the sport that were not used in the Golden Age, using the side or top of the foot (now legal).
