Hi all sifu2, if I get the 5g sim and 5g modem, how would it affect all my devices(laptops, desktops, ipads,hp,etc) which are few years old? Would my devices be able to connect to the modem? The yes 5g plan is uncapped 5g with 4g capped at 150gb. How do I know if I'm utilizing the 5g or the 4g? Scared end up spend so much money cannot fully utilize the max speed. Not so pro with all these gadget stuff
just use the yes flexi, pair with old huawei 5g cpe pro, at my area (kota Kinabalu) around 500mb/s, I also testing on its stability, use for regular thing such as streaming, gaming or downloading small thing, then I tried for heavy usage by downloading the cod(around 170gb) and here the real download speed, going as maximum on first 3- 5minute then suddenly dropping to 20-40 mb/s then sometimes I will go back as fast as possible, also there some disconnect issue like every 2 hours (during the download and need to restart the modem). For sure micro disconnect, ping spike and packet loss still at tolerable state( wireless mah, what u expect) so I can recommend for anyone who has very stable 5g(AND 4g+ for yes) at your area, want maximum download speed with cheapest price, also a people that can withstand a so-so(?yeah?) stability and random issue that mostly can be fixed by slapping the reboot button on the modem. So yeah it based on you, no devices restriction, no contract, no FUP.......you can terminate any time.....
Can you test the latency of u home 5G when playing league of legends? Because I can get about 23-30 ping with U home 5G, if you also get around 30ping I think I will stick to Umobile instead of Yes since you gave the answer that YES can't really play games.
But seems different to me since on u home 5g video your computers show 12-14ping most of the time but yes 5g shows around 20ping most of the time on speedtest
saya dah beli Yesft5G tu.... check coverrage mmg 5G full coverage. Stay at the centre of Kuantan. Sadly, internet connections so BAD.... what can u do with 200kbps LTE? tried chat with virtual Sofia...make me wanna slap that sofia....so kecewa dengan Yes... i tot its good. plan to use Yes Flexi 58...but no thanks.
I live in the heart of KL pun jarang dapat 100Mbps with YES 5G Broadband plan ni. VERY RARELY IT HITS over 100Mbps. Guna 5G modem to boost the speed pun actually did nothing much. Save yourself the frustration. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS USELESS TELCO.
I don't do that since I have IoT devices that require connectivity all day, but if you aren't using it, its definitely good to turn off and save electricity, it doesn't consume a lot of electricity btw.
@@klgadgettv thank you for clearing this. just wondering, have you try to spam download to check how much is the hidden fup? i tried with unifi air and stop at 2tb knowing that i'll never hit that much data on normal monthly usage.
I just subscribed the Yes 5G wireless broadband flexi. I haven’t bought a 5G router yet. I put the sim in my iphone 14 Pro Max to test connection. No signal at all. I stay in Jalan Gasing PJ, which supposedly has 5G coverage according to Yes website. Now i dunno what to do. Should i buy 5G router and take the risk, or just terminate the yes subscription. Can u advice pls
Make sure your iPhone 14 Pro Max has been updated to iOS 17.1, if it still doesn't work, ask Yes for a SIM replacement and make sure you bring the phone along to test out. Also, chances are you haven't activate the SIM card if you apply it online and receive via mail, you might want to try to activate it using the Yes app.
@@klgadgettv its activated because it says active on the app. Also when i try to activate by scanning and manually key in the code, both says invalid. So i guess it is activated. I got the sim at the store, not online. My mistake was I didn’t try on the spot. I also made sure APN was yesnet. Still no signal. I sent a complaint but no one replied. Really bad
That’s how you can test whether a network and router is capable of supporting multiple devices, and like I said, every device comes with a different WiFi card and the router decides the bandwidth it needs to distribute to the respective devices.
I play fortnite with fibre and 5g prepaid through phone, but the difference in ping wasn't as gargantuan as yours. Wireless internet was 10-20ms higher, not like 100+ 🤔
The flexi postpaid plan one, they block the SIM card from allowing you to use 5gh as hotspot using other modems/routers - giving you no other options but to subscribe to their plan with the router. Sneaky and illegal - a breach of CMA 1998.
@@klgadgettv Yes, that happened to me, swear to Zeus. I had to lodge an MCMC report since they ignored me when I reached out to them, only after that I was able to use 5GHz. I'm almost a month on this plan and my area according to their map and Lot10 branch has great 5G coverage, I spent half a thousand to get D-Link Modem because they said it'll help boost the speed. Alas, all comes in vain. A staggering 75% of the time, my download speeds fall below 100Mbps, even with full 5G signal bars. Surprisingly, my DiGi 5G connection is far more consistent and delivers faster speeds than YES. This is all happening indoors, and I'm less than 2KM from KLCC, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. To anyone considering this broadband plan-save yourself the frustration. I would NOT recommend it.
Good video about Yes broadband 58 for long waiting, & you should corrected = Yes broadband 58 is NOT FUlly unlimited cause 4G has quota 100GB only !!! In 5G not stable area has to use 4G than 100GB is very NOT enough

How about the speed if using RM58 Yes 5G plan on moded modem router?

Is any setting need to do for the model zte mc8020? This router is use hotspot and not data. Please help
Do i have to turn off the modem at night everyday for saving electricity?
I don't do that since I have IoT devices that require connectivity all day, but if you aren't using it, its definitely good to turn off and save electricity, it doesn't consume a lot of electricity btw.
If the modem is in your sleeping room, it is best to turn it off.
@@8kelvin why is that
Was the test performed in terraced house or high rise? Wonder how is the reception on high rise units (39th floor)
High rise 8th floor
so during your test
in zte8020 is rm58 yes home broadband
in yeacomm is rm30 yes prepaid ft5g
seems like the prepaid plan was limiting the p2p
Yes the prepaid plan might have been limiting P2P, but based on these few days of usage, it seems to be less reliable on streaming too

The worst internet service ever, the internet stops more than twenty times a day. I do not advise anyone to use Yes
Well at least there's a no contract option, you can cancel it if you don't like the service
we should add 5g parabolic antenna ourselves .See that malay guy polis jepun did in his house with yes sim card a month ago.

I guess doing both speedtests at the same time on the same network is not a fair comparison.
