This video was like a masterclass in negotiating while highlighting the importance of knowing what you are willing to pay to make the deal work for you. The other thing it highlights is that the more you know your stuff, the easier it is to find deals that work (something everyone who wants to get deals should spend extra time doing...learning as much as you can about as many cards as you can). Always impressed and enjoy watching you work the tables and I am thoroughly impressed at your stamina...to make that many deals in a day is super impressive and takes a lot more work than most people are willing to put in at a show. Keep up the quality content!
Ryan used literally the same tactics on the kid in the suit that he did to every other vendor. Definitely educating kids in the hobby in how the real world works and not just "going easy" on them, but he also is careful to never take advantage of a kid. Probably a good example for everyone in how to introduce kids to negotiating in the hobby
I love Ryans hustle. His ability to work deals in every card he buys whether in a future or present deal is truly a work of art. Its a pleasure to watch him at work
Solid day 2! Love seeing a lot of the same dealers from show to show. I've seen you deal with that gentleman and his kid before but the fact that his IG handle is the kid in the suit is priceless 😂😂😂
This guy is great- hes like a tiny gypsy... we are close, i am not far off... lemme distract you with this little side bundle and lets come back to this... i will buy more from you later... its like watching a Tel Aviv circus game.
Hey Ryan, Jesus loves you man! I just wanted to say I really appreciate the content. I just wanted to say, it was great to see you buy a lot of Baseball. I know it has never been your sport, but to see you go outside your element also was really good to see. Beyond that too, I am primarily a baseball card collector, but love your content. However, I always felt a sense of a disconnect. I took your buisness advice and strategy, which I have appreciated, but I really am thankful your starting to branch out, as it also allows me to be more connected with your content. I live in Nashville and knowing your buying more baseball, might lead me to make a trip to your store seeing there might also be more inventory for me to look at! God bless you man! Appreciate you, James
Man, Ryan has to be one of the best in this hobby. He's all about making the deals, not just wondering around with a camera. Way too many guys doing this for the wrong reasons. You should come to Chantilly, April 1st-3rd!
For the guy that told the story about the customer that didn't know his store was a mile and a half away from his house and you've been there 26 years. No disrespect, but you're not marketing right. Ryan is the perfect example of what to do to market in the card industry.
Ryan I’m a huge fan and a big collector ! I’m a 33 year old licensed barber of 10 years who is going to the Dallas card show for the first time in may! I’m bringing my clippers, I have a portfolio I can email you of my work .. I’d love to offer you a free haircut, I specialize in fades
Just a reminder just because something isn't sold or bought on Market Movers shouldn't be your deciding factor on something rare or not it's actually price isn't set in stone by that app do your homework, don't be quick to sell if it's something you've never seen just because they haven't had it move on their app means 0.
Hey Ryan, thanks for adding the photos of what’s being negotiated; it really makes the videos more enjoyable! Is it possible to enlarge the photo size though? I’m starting to develop ‘old guy eyes’ 😂
Always love the show vids. I'm curious, when someone gives you a number for a deal, have you ever just taken it right away? Or is it always, "we're pretty close," then trying to get another 5-10% cheaper? :)
I think you can see the answer in the video. Someone asked if I'd do $100, I paid $120. I have a number I want to be at. Regardless if it's lower or higher, I really try to hit my number. But sometimes if you can save an extra $5, you never know if you don't ask. So it really is a case by case thing. But good question & thanks for watching!
@@cardcollector2 I'm from Springfield Illinois and seriously considering going to the Dallas show as everyone has said it's the best show outside of the national. How does Dallas show compare to the Chicago show?

Appreciate the kind words, Jeffrey!
Really surprised Ryan hasn’t set up his own major card show in Ohio.
Maybe one day!
"We're really not far off..."
My favorite Ryan tagline 😂

They have been in Dallas the last few times. Really nice people!
E gore is clutch pulling up with the card.

Really enjoy the card show vids! Great deals at the show and it was great meeting you there. Glad I could gift you the Parris Campbell for your PC!
Wassup my man! Congrats on making the vlog lol!
Thanks again, Egor! Nice meeting you!
I've never collected cards but it's fun seeing someone who spends money on something rather then talking about it
love the hockey pick ups. Thats the next sport to blow up in the hobby
I like the snapshots of the pickups. Really nice work!
Thank you!
Liking every ones comment to make there day😁

Friday is my favorite, so many less people. There were tables I could hardly get to Saturday
Saturday is definitely wild!
Tremendous Bourque card. I get chills every time I watch him finally get to lift the Stanley Cup with Colorado.
I love Ryan’s trade box, hard cold cash will always get the best deals.
Ouch overpaid on the pikachu. That's like a $70 card in a 10. Super common and easy to grade.
he bought it for $80 buddy, $10 dollar is not overpaid lol
@@MrIwtat considering he is buying to sell not to collect, yes he did.
This guy is the GOAT of negotiating. 😂
Lol IDK about that. I appreciate you checking out the video though!
The negotiation talks are super helpful and insightful for someone like me who knows very little about card show etiquette. Keep them coming!
Awesome day! Where did you get the Alt shirt?
Absolutely love Ryan but I swear people do not counter lol. Watching a master at his craft
Lol oh people DEFINITELY counter. I assure you that lol. Not as much in this video maybe, but it happens.
Nice Breanna Stewart you need more WNBA PSA on your IG and whatnot sales.
That guy rocking the zia symbol shirt🔥
I Respect the work! Wow! Well done!
Is that Clayton Murphy??? Pro Nike Runner?!
Yes I think so
Ha! My buddy Justin at around 4:00
One of the better videos out there! Good stuff
I thought I'd be safe looking for baseball but apparently it all got scooped up in this video😂
Thanks for taking us to these shows, great content as usual, keep grinding 💪🏻
Such a nice dude

Hey Ryan you mentioned going to Miami, is there a card show?
What’s up
Hey Ryan love the content quick question. What show is in STL that you are going to I'm always looking for more places to go to
Google beckett show calendar. Helps find shows by city and state ! Hope that helps :)
@@cardcollector2 ok will do thank you for the help
It helps people know who he is. People are giving him huge discounts because of who he is.
You overestimate me and underestimate peace of mind. People want people who are easy to deal with, pay cash and come back.
Ooh a nice bit of baseball in this one!
8:22 How much for the P.Willis xfractor or is that Bowman? Regardless I want that and what looks to be TO.
What was the Friends and Family line? Was that getting the vendor to toss in a paid discount membership for further purchases?
Nice pickups, Ryan. Love all the baseball pickups.
Appreciate it, Billy!
Where is the St. Louis show you're going to?
Keep up the great work!
Another great video, picked up some great info that’ll help me in getting to the next level of collecting, thanks!
man is just wheeling and dealing lol

Like the Amon-Ra St. Brown Legacy pickup, love him as a player really good investment.
He definitely finished the year strong. Could have some potential!
Huh my comment came in late?
This is way more fun than the stock market.
How much money do you usually take to these card shows ?
