Pinterest seriously is a long game. I randomly posted something, completely forgot about it, and then months later it had hundreds of thousands of views. I decided to pin consistently after that and I was able to build 1.5 million monthly views after a few months! It's all about staying consistent.
Pinterest now has as actual affiliate linking section also! When you’re creating the pin in the mobile app “tag products” and Amazon, Walmart etc work there and adds the appropriate disclosure to your pin! And you can still link to a blog, YT etc using the “add link” all in one pin! (Also you can add a sticker product link !)
Oh yes, great note!! I had noted this in my monetization video, but the feature isn't in Canada so I completely forgot about it! 😭 🤞🏽 Fingers crossed we get it eventually.
Even if it's a topic that I'm not particularly interested in, I still watch your videos. You have such a graceful way to explain things and soothing voice! Great video and looking forward to the next one!
@redbunnyclassic that's how I was when I first discovered the channel a few weeks ago! I definitely think this account will grow exponentially, not just for the value and education provided, but for the way it's explained as well. There aren't many like you out there, Kaya!
Thank you I just published my first 20 blog posts and created my boards last week, worked on my Pinterest pin templates and now creating my pins and going to go back an update my blog with a Pinterest pin at the beginning and end of each post. What do you recommend with this? I would love to see your workflow. 😍 how often you pin/schedule a pin, your strategy, what your yearly/monthly goals, how many blog posts you create a month? So many questions but it's all basically workflow/strategy. Just would love to see how you plan it all out. As someone who has ADD and OCD this would be so helpful most Pinterest TH-cam videos I have found on Pinterest strategy/workflow is so outdated and with me starting a new blog my OCD is struggling with wanting to understand but not be using outdated techniques. 😅 sorry for such a long comment and yes I love your voice as an introvert it draws me in and thank you for your content 🫶🏻
As a fellow introvert, this comment means so so much! I'll try to get some more content out soon that helps answer these. Right now I'm trying to post minimum once a week on the blog, and once a week I'll make 5 pin variations for said blog post--and I'm actually doing this on a newish blog and pinterest account (creatingwithkaya), so it'll be fun to monitor the progress of something new and report back! No specific goals to be honest for this one--right now I just want to see month over month progress.
I love Pinterest and I’m so thankful I found your channel!! I’m a content creator who’s trying to find my way. I love TH-cam Pinterest and blogging the most! So I’m so excited to learn from you! Thank you so very much. Listening while seeing patients this morning ❤ sending good vibes
Such a great video!! Also the tip regarding the artist content - noted! This was so helpful as I begin a brand new Pinterest account for my business. I learned so much, and will definitely be using your tips throughout the setup of my new account. Thank you! :D
Hi Kaya, love your content! Thanks a bunch. Quick note on the # hashtag use - I personally use them a lot and haven't faced any issues. Could be because I'm usually at my desktop in the office. Keep up the awesome work! 💖
Oh yes--to clarify, using them won't hurt your content at all--moreso just that it's not really a method people use to find your content--and Pinterest doesn't have a "hashtag feed', so I wouldn't stress over them. But definitely keep at it if it's working for you!
Great breakdown. I used to look past Pinterest but your content encouraged me to give it a try. Seeing some results pretty quickly using your advice. Thank you so much!
Been searching for days for the answer about how much you should Pin other peoples pins, and then I found you and thank god! Thank you! I can now start my pinterest account up :D
Hey I just wanted to say your videos & blog have been an absolute goldmine for me and you helped kick start my dream of being a creator ❤❤❤ As a fellow black girl I just saw myself in you so much and it’s like you’re the older sister I never had 🥲 hope that’s not too weird I just really appreciate you and your content so much and you really did change my life 🫶🏽🧚🏾♀️
Oh my goodness thank you for this message, I truly am so touched and SO glad to be able to help you on your journey. 💜🥺 all I want is to inspire and empower others to create.
This is wonderful. Thank you. I'm writing a relationship book and want to use Pinterest to promote the book, evergreen articles on my website (taken from the book) and my future podcast. Learning from you is great.
Hey Kaya! 🌟 Big fan of your social media wisdom here, especially those game-changing Pinterest insights. I'm on the hunt for a Pinterest manager and instantly thought of you. Any chance you're available or could point me to someone you recommend? You're the Pinterest guru in my eyes! ✨
Hello! Thank you for the kind words--I honestly wish I had someone off the top of my head to recommend. I've seen a LOT of people talking Pinterest and management over on Threads, so I would give that a peek, and if I come across anyone legit I'll return here with the recommendation!
It really is playing the long game! I have some posts from literally about a decade ago that I casually posted before taking Pinterest seriously and it’s in the top 3 highest viewed/pinned pins lol. I think I’m going to stick to posting on weekends mainly.
It really is!! And honestly same here, like I got married 5 years ago, and those pins are STILL getting served, saved, and clicked. But when I first posted them, it was like.. is this thing on?! And that's a great strategy--are you manually pinning?
@@CreatingwithKaya I do manually plan. I diversify what I post when I post. I’m also going back to old blogposts, making Pinterest photos & adding them to Pinterest. Especially the blog posts that have the highest views.
Oh because Pinterest only lets you schedule one pin to a single board at a time, Tailwind let’s me schedule a pin to up to 10 at a time and space them out however I’d like 🙏🏽
Freshness is the priority, but you can definitely post the same pin to multiple boards to help contextualize it. Don’t go crazy if it’s not a right fit though. I find that sometimes my pins don’t even start to move until I’ve pinned them to a handful.
@CreatingwithKaya that's so different what other pinterest managers I seen say but I'd seen some people like Sophia Lee pin the same pin image twice so was curious. Do you do the same title and description? Thank you!
@@clarebrody1 I do it with Tailwind so it takes exactly everything as it is and puts it to a new board-BUT I think something goes on in the background on Pinterest’s end because it somehow simultaneously recognizes these all as the “same” pin. I.e. the overall analytics results are tallied together, and on the “created” page it won’t show the same pin a million times jus once… while also still being a “new pin” on a new board. Basically my hunch is that again because tailwind is an approved partner and this is a crucial reason people use tailwind, Pinterest isn’t categorizing this practice as spammy (within reason of course)
How do you pin on multiple dates on Tailwind? When you choose the schedule options do you click multiple dates/times or do you have to upload the pin multiple times and pick multiple dates? (I don' think I've ever used the world multiple this many times. Sorry haha) Phenomenal video btw ;)
So when you go to upload, you choose all the different boards you want it to go to, and then ou choose one date. This will be the FIRST day it goes live to the first board. Then further down, it allows you to next choose the interval i.e. how much space you want between that first date, and the next. So I choose weekly, and it just automatically posts to the remaining boards a week a part, beginning from that first date. I hope that makes sense!! 🙏🏽😂
Hi. Wonderful video. I have a brick and mortar massage therapy practice. I want to create my account for my main business that links to our main website. Under our business I have 6 websites though. When I create my boards, do all of my own pins have to only link to the main office website? For instance I want a pregnancy board. The links would go to a different website which is our prenatal blog. Would Pinterest allow this? I also need a couples board for my posts relating to couples massage and our couple massage training. I'm trying to figure this out.
You can link to whatever website/url you’d like, technically even ones that aren’t your own-so you can link whatever is most relevant to the individual pins you are creating 😊
Hi! I have a quick question, if we’ve never created any post but we’re entrepreneurs, do you recomend to create a new business account or use a personal account ?
Hello! If that's the case, I would start a new business account! Gives you clean slate to set up exactly how you need it for your business, and provides you with all the backend analytics!
Hey, I would love to ask another question: whenever I post an idea pin, pinterest will automatically degrade the video quality. I've tried reformatting, and manually downgrading before posting, but nothing seems to work. Do you have any idea what this could be, and more importantly, what to do about it?
I've definitely experienced this, but notice it's not always. Sometimes I'll look at it and it's fuzzy, sometimes it's not, sometimes it's different on different devices--definitely frustrating I know. One thing I recommend is to look up the video quality requirements for upload and stay within them as much as possible to reduce the chance that Pinterest will compress it horribly. Ex. 4k footage will actually probably look a lot worse because it needs to be compressed by the platform.
@@CreatingwithKaya Thank you for getting back to me! What I ended up doing is, indeed, compressing my video to a lower quality so that pinterest doesn't compress it worse. Next time I'm going to try uploading shorter videos (this one was 4 min) and see if that gives me more leeway.
This video ended up being WAY longer than I intended... but... y'all had a lot of questions. ♥😂
I absolutely loved it!!!
