I was 13 when the first HP book came out, and I enjoyed growing up with the books well into my 20s. And it’s absolutely wonderful when I see younger people and other generations outside of my own discovering this series and recognizing how absolutely unbelievable it is! This will always be my favorite series of all time!

Remember when I first started reading Harry Potter, Hermione was my fav character, but after getting into the books, and became a huge potter head it changed to Tonks. I love Harry Potter sm! I will forever love it. It’s like these characters are real. I can read deathly hallows where Tonks and Remus died over and over again, but I will always cry, even how many times I read it. Obsessed.

When I was in 6th grade I loved these books but I only ever got to book 4,(my favorite movie and book in the series) and the reason I never read book 5 was because my dogs tour it up,I was devastated, but I’m debating on going to barns and buying the 5th one soon and continuing the series since that was one of the series that got me into reading. it’s been a few years and I’m ready to dive back into the world of magic, thanks to u!❤

Honestly I had drastic expectations of the character befor eI read the books and I was pleasantly happy to be proven wrong. Harry wasn't a nerd, he's a jock (talk abt biases with the glasses lol). Hermione isn't perfect and too stuck up, she's really rebellious and has a delicate heart. Ron isn't just a token comedic sidekick, I admire his strength to fight against all his fears and insecurities despite always being faced with them - no srsly I feel for his "normal" problems such as feeling overshadowed amd unappreciated, they really make him feel real. plus he's SO hilarious. They're all so well rounded, the good and the bad is laid out to humanize them, and I love that.
It's so cool seeing your reactions and your predictions as a first time reader because i know the books almost by heart ! I wish i could read them again for the first time ! :) I think my fav is the 6th one, the half blood prince.

I am loving your videos. I am 36 years old - I started reading the books when I was 12. I essentially grew up with the books and can remember the overwhelming anticipation and excitement of waiting for the next book to be released. People would be waiting in long lines at stores to purchase them at midnight. To this day, I still reread the books at least once a year - at a minimum. They are a fantastic series that can always bring me back into a happy, safe space. ❤️
I can not tell you how many times I have reread or listed to the audiobook (which are AMAZING). I am no so happy that you love the Harry Potter books. I worked at a bookstore when they were coming out, which was SO MUCH FUN!!! All the kids coming in dressed up in their favorite characters, as well as some of the adults

Having read the whole series and watched all the 7 movies....I feel overwhelmed seeing your reactions while going through each twists and turns ....each time me you say smthng about the book, I am like " ohh gurl,you have no idea what is coming for youh!". I love Harry Potter so much🥹! One of my most treasured possessions is a pillow my brother brought home from his mission in the UK. Being as far from the hometown of this amazing books as I can in Brazil, having the pillow makes me feel close to them (literal words on paper lol)

If you end up wanting to read something else HP esque when you finish the series, I highly recommend Witch Hat Atelier! It’s a fantasy manga that’s absolutely amazinggg (and this is coming from someone who isn’t huge on Fantasy either). Also, I think it’d be amazing to see your reaction to rereading the PJO series (there’s so much that happens after the original series) cos that series’ plot twists has me gooped and gagged (and I read it as an adult)!

When I was in middle school and high school, Harry Potter was my LIFE. I would reread the books all the time. My husband just read the books for the first time this year too and he is officially on the bandwagon. I love watching people read them for the first time!
I was 11 years old when the first Harry Potter book came out. This book blew up overnight, you can't imagine the hype. I remember going to Barnes and Noble with my abuela every time a new book was going to be released in order to pre-order it, to insure i got a copy. Because the books always sold out. On release day of the new books, there was always a huge line outside Barnes and Noble of people waiting for the store to be open in order to get their copy of the book. I would always try to read each book very slowly because as soon as I finished it, I knew I would have to wait at least a year for the next one to come out. After i was done reading the book I would always give it to my abuela to read. She loved the books as much as i did and always accompanied me in line at barnes and noble on release days. When i was 13 i got really sick and spent most of my time in the hospital. Reading Harry Potter was a form of escapism for me. These books will always hold a special place in my heart. Its great to see the new generation enjoying them too. Hang on tight because the rest of the books will take you on a rollercoaster ride. Happy reading

Im almost twenty and reading the series for the first time this year.
Growing up it sounded a little odd in the snipet summaries I would get asking about what books others were reading, and they obviously were not surmised very well because it sounded more strange in a negative light when in real life the books are masterfully written and I have truly enjoyed them!
In middleschool we had Harry Potter Quizbowl each week with trivia from the series and at the end of the year one of the three grades who won got a party, or maybe it was no tests for somthing like that for a non-state thing. Some people got really into it, others thought it was childish. One of my teachers who had never read it said as much and I shouldn't waste my time on somthing below my grade level.
At the time I didn't know that Harry Potter was leaning towards a middle school age demographic, because most of the kids at my school who had read it had read it in elementary school. They're two things with that, one, I don't know who's giving little kids Harry Potter because some of those things can be scary, and two, that fact in itself made me feel like I was too old even though I wasn't even a teenager yet to read those stories because I felt like something that was meant for littler kids, and as a teenager I wanted to be seen more like an adult in the time of my life.
I also hadn't really learned to love reading in my free time because of how much we had to do for school, and how it doesn't teach you extensive genres or relate to your personal interest a lot of the time.
But having decided that I was going to join this Harry Potter binging challenge, I have absolutely enjoyed it. I'm worried about it because I finished the Goblet of Fire and I feel like it's going to get really dark, but I'm also really enjoying the world of Hogwarts and all the convoluted fun.
And let me tell you when I was first reading the Prisoner of Azkaban I was making very similar theories, particularly about the dog (not spoiling) and now that I've read it and I'm seeing the theories come out, I laughed so loud and loved them! Then I remembered I had very similar ideas, and its so fun to experience them right or not!!! And let me tell you it's so hard having grown up in a culture that did like Harry Potter while I was ignorant of it as a childhood right of lassage almost and it spoiled the stories so much, especially online.not in a nagative way but in the sense of to much plot twists discussed without filters because everyone assumes everyone knows. It's hard not to get a lot of spoilers to know how things end, I've gotten spoilers for every one of the books in some regard, but regardless, I love the series and hope to love the last three too.❤

I loved all the books. Me , my mom , my grandmother and my sister all went to the bookstores when they were doing the book relases , went to all the movie releases .. lol my mom read the books to us. When we were kids.

I read these books for the first time when I was 13 I guess. I was a potterhead like the worst kind of them. I had the wands, Harry was my wallpaper, I watched videos where people talked about HP theories, and I would mention Harry Potter at ANY opportunity and my friends would just get so annoyed lol I’m 18 now and I don’t remember a single word from these books and I’ve read the first 3 twice but man I do remember book 4 was my favorite and the series was just so good. I guess this is a signal for me to read it again!

I am on Order of the Phoenix! I too, am reading them for the first time, but I did grow up seeing the movies as they released in theaters as a kid!💛 I wish I was going into these not knowing the plot, but I love being able to read all the extra details that the movies left out!!
Also, side note, you should play Hogwarts Legacy! It’s a beautiful game and I feel even more immersed in the world!❤️
