This is the best product ever, ive used it for 15 years and its never failed. One application lasts all year. Just need a bit of patience for it to work.
That's good to know. Thanks for your comment!
Thank you for the demonstration I purchased the Wet and Forget for my garden fence. Within days the horrible green stuff was gone and a nice clean base for the application of new fence paint. The Wet & Forget was sprayed on and left to do its magic. Next year the rest of the garden is due a coat.mThank you.
Im glad you got on well with the Wet and Forget. Thanks for your comment!
I've used this on a very old family gravestone and it came up amazing.
That's brilliant. It seems like you can use wet and forget on loads of different surfaces. Thanks for your comment!
Very clever idea
Thanks, the wet and forget is brilliant!
That looks so good, especially like the fact you don't need to scrub it!
I was a bit sceptical, but the results speak for themselves. Thanks for your comment!
I’ve used Wet & Forget on my plastic caravan decking. Works a treat!
That's good to know, thanks for your comment!
Very informative video,i have a lot of green algy on my fence and shed due to the big trees at the bottom of the garden,I will definitely have a go with this product,i usually just paint over it every 2 or three years 👍
It's worked really well in my garden and especially well on the fence. Apparently, wet and forget also prevents the green algae from coming back, but I will wait and see. Thanks for your comment!
Good advice steve xx
Thanks x
The best product out there. Works really fast on walls with render ie garages. Got to be sensible with safety wear and keep pets out of the way until dry. Use when you have a few dry days. I use a large back pack sprayer. Lasts for a few months. Do price comparisons as cost does vary.
I'm really impressed with the wet and forget. I am always sceptical of these sorts of things, but I was proved wrong!
Another great video, i'm not one for using chemicals but this looks so easy i think i,m going to try some.😁
The results are so good, it's definitely worth using!
@@FixitwithFowler thanks!
Good product. Will recommend it to a friend who has a problem with algae on the patio.
Does it come with a free Japanese Akita? 👍 😉
Thanks for that. He's an American Akita and that depends if he digs anymore holes in the garden 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly the video and information I needed!. Excellent video mate!. Would you be kind enough to make a video about how to secure up-and-above garage doors ( e.g., Cardale brand) from the inside, please? Thanks.
Hi, I'm glad you liked the video. Do you mean to prevent anyone from breaking into the garage?
Brilliant product. I have used it for many years. I had a lot of black marks on flags in the garden and tried many things including scrubbing and power washing to remove it without any success. However, Wet and Forget removed it although did take several months and two applications.
I never knew wet and forget would work on black spots on paving. Thanks for the tip!
Good to know - I have loads of spots on my flags and walkways and nothing seems to shift it. Will give this a try. Cheers.
@richardclarke9966 thanks for watching the video about Wet and Forget. I think it's a brilliant product even If I was sceptical at first!
@@FixitwithFowler Cheers Steve - how does this compare to Patio Magic, in your opinion?
@richardclarke9966 this actually works with these results in just under 2 weeks. I never seen results with patio magic.
Thanks will go out and buy some now subscribed also great video
Thank you so much for your comment, I'm really impressed with this Wet and forget!
Just buy a big 25L tub of Sodium Hyperchlorite from your local equestrian/farmers shop £35-40. Can use neat or dilute with water depending on severity of algae/lichen etc and it’s amazing.
Oh, thanks for that, I have just tried the wet and forget as it has so many good reviews, and I must admit I'm really impressed with it!
I wetted my fence and forgot to check it two weeks later, so it works “wet and forget”! 😅
That's the idea!!!!!
Have you got a video about getting rid of and keeping dampness/mold away in houses?
I have indeed, this video explains the process of killing and removing black mould and also the process of then painting over the area to ensure it doesn't come back! th-cam.com/video/ccbuW1o6D7A/w-d-xo.html
@@FixitwithFowler cheers mate, I'll give it a watch.
@LDcorx cheers, I'm sure you find it helpful
👍👍👍. Thank you Steve
No problem. I hope you found the video useful!
I wonder if it works on a convertible car hood? I’ve been using weed killer & then baby shampoo to clean some days later.
I would suggest trying it in a really small area, somewhere you can't see before committing to doing the whole roof! You could always contact the manufacturer for some guidance.
Would this work on lead flashing above my windows and porch
I'm not sure about lead flashing. Maybe someone else on here can help you!
I spent £100 on this stuff, four tubs of it. Used it, it worked well. But four months later it was as bad as ever, moss everywhere. Later I used a cheaper version (£6.99) and that worked ok but didn’t last as long (2 months). If Wet & Forget was half the price I’d use it again in the future but it’s just too expensive and doesn’t last long enough.
It's not the cheapest product, but I'm pleased with it and would deduct use wet and forget again!
Costco is probably the cheapest place to buy it in 5lts Ive used it on paving, fencing and on the caravan.
Oh yeah I never thought about costco. Thanks for your comment!
It seems to do exactly what vinegar does, but at ten times the cost.
I've not tried vinegar, so I can't compare the two!
@@FixitwithFowler It is very good & also very cheap. Spray it on neat, it kills moss & lichen on contact. It is also an excellent weed killer & cats hate the smell of it. It is non-toxic (you put it on your chips) & even cleans windows. White vinegar costs about £5 for 5 litres from a hardware shop. Don't use your garden sprayer as vinegar will eat the rubber seals, instead fill an empty spray bottle you have from a kitchen or bathroom cleaner. Vinegar even disolves limescale, so put it in your kettle (then boil it) or in your WC (after removing the water first) & leave it over night before flushing. If there is limescale under the WC rim, wet some wads of toilet paper with vinegar & stuff them under the rim then leave over night before removing & then flushing. Vinegar is also highly effective to remove rust. It will just disolve it & you will be left with bare metal that's ready to paint. When I clean my kettle, after I finish, I pour the hot vinegar it down the kitchen plug hole (after first putting a few spoons of bicarbonate of soda down the hole), it then fizzes up & removes all the gunk.
Years ago before people bought cleaners from the supermarket, everyone used vinegar & lemon juice to clean everything. It works far, far better than anything else & is much cheaper.
@phoenixxavier9615 that's really good to know. Thanks for your detailed comment!
Why wait 2 weeks. Can you not rinse it off after a week?
Hi, you need to give it time to work. However, I'm pretty sure you still get the same results!
All good stuff SF, BUT .... there's also an entirely different way of looking at this whole green algae question, especially on wood.
Green algae itself isn't in fact harmful to wood but what it does do is ABSOLUTELY CLEARLY show that the wood concerned is getting too damp for its own good. And if that is allowed to continue, other algae and then actual wood-rot will start. So in that sense you can - I'd say 'should' - think of green algae as being your friendly warning .... and are you SURE you just want to get rid of a "friendly warning" - obliterate it? It reminds me of the old saying, "Don't shoot the messenger!".
That fence looks like it does because it's getting too wet along the bottom 50cm or so: is it splashing up from the asphalt or WHY precisely is it so wet? So INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE. Our-friend-the-green-algae shows there's a 'Design Defect', two of the famous "5 Ds" in good external timber Design and Detailing.
So again, are you SURE you want merely to obliterate the green-algae WARNING - or would it be 1,000 times MORE SENSIBLE to deal properly with the Design and Detailing Defects? When did your doctor suggest you get rid of your "friendly" symptoms rather than their underlying cause?
(PS It somehow reminds me of those French vineyards where they famously plant roses at the end of the vine-rows. Roses are from the same family as the vines but they show diseases and insect-infestations in good time BEFORE the vines get them, thus giving the farmer time to solve the problem for the vines. So are you going to ELIMINATE the roses? ... or are you going to encourage them!)
Oh, good theory, and I like your thinking. The fence obviously suffers from damp because the hedge is now overhanging the top of the fence, and also, as its north facing, it gets no sun. Both these factors I can't change as the hedge gives us privacy. Thanks for your comment, though, and worth thinking about!
I am glad your paid endorsement is paying dividends
I've bought that my self, no paid endorsement here!!!! You can clearly see just how good this Wet and Forget is in the video!
Better if you leave it, letting the active ingredient do it’s job. That said, MMC pro is better.
I know it would be better to leave it but I wanted to get quick results for my video 🙃
Doesn’t seem to work on the brickwork. The fence seems ok though. This stuff is expensive though and doesn’t seem worth it.
It worked on my brickwork after 2 weeks. However, if it's bad, you can mix it, so it is a stronger formula, and it may need either a second application or leaving longer.
No need to buy this product. Just use standard Bio washing powder. It does the same trick.
Oh, thanks for your comment. Does it continue to work for months after application, like wet and forget, does or do you need to keep reapplying it?
sorry this peadictive test bad,, i use old chip pan oil on my shed no green moss for 2 yrs and you dont block the drains granny eileen and it goes on real easy
Lol, if it works, then fair play! I am always sceptical of things like this, but this Wet and Forget is amazing, and once diluted at 5 to 1 ratio, you get loads for your money!
sed old c and in
