- "The Mexican", along with "Martin Circus", became staples of the legendary New York City nightclub "The Funhouse". Its resident DJ was the great John "Jellybean" Benitez, who is credited with discovering one of the greatest female artists in the history of music, Madonna. Over 20 years later, Benitez still makes special guest appearances as a deejay and has produced numerous hits.
