@@ashley6298 I agree, lotta locomotion was great but I think these days it's just a bit too problematic. Though I think whole lotta locomotion would still be fine, especially with the german lyrics. I got me is... ehh... fine, I guess? It works as a stand alone song, but not really the way they use it within the musical
@@DankEngine2005 Well if I were to make a film adaptation, I would tweak it so the tune matches the original, but is sung by the coaches to try to convince Pearl to try to hook up with one of the engines in the race while Pearl herself tries to convince them that she's fine with a not-so-fancy engine like Rusty. Like she would sing "I don't need a lotta locomotion to carry me".
Never heard this version! I like it! I think I def prefer the original a lot more but this is a great song. The original was more fun and bouncy. I also really love “I Am Me” from the new revival

He literally wrote a musical about a kid dreaming about train races on rollerscates and cats, no story, just cats
