I feel you. My Miata has been sitting in a shed for the last three years and all it needs is fixing a fuel leak in the new injector fuel rail. Probably a shitty O-ring.

The pacing and the detail that goes into MCM is perfect. Enough explanation that you understand what's going on and see the process but not too in-depth that it's dull. There's something therapeutic when it's just music and parts being installed.

I think bimmer will be more a drift car than track car but I'm sure it'll be very fast either way
@@collinw9381 Yeah the Lotus will most certainly wipe the floor with this unless they go full time attack spec but I doubt they would as they seem to be more about projects that the audience could theoretically follow along with. I still have my fingers crossed that they will delve into all that one day. Even tracking the cars was a welcome surprise when they first started with that. The E30 is the type of car you'd turn into a race car, it's small, it's stiff, it's a really good platform for a total transformation.
Will be close and very interesting. The bmw will smoke it on the straights and the lotus will run around the outside on the corners. Bring it!
I would never swap anything but a BMW engine in an E30. But this is not my car, so I love it! Love how it turned out, loved the video, loved the seats! Can't wait to see it finished!

@@jamestarpy4422 thank you for the compliment! I wasn't always like this, specially in my teens. But being a car guy from birth, and being almost 40 now, I believe I can say I've grown a bit lol.
The fact is they are providing us of quality content... FOR FREE. Why would someone bash on them? Unless they were doing something that could hurt others, let them be happy and I hope they keep sharing for years to come! I've been subscribed since the beginning, and I can not name ONE car they own, that I wouldn't change something. But that's the point, it's their cars, and we're just along for the ride!!!
People sharing their builds are at least BUILDING cars. IMHO, 90% of the people bashing on other people's builds, are keyboard warriors, not doers.
Love how guys put the swap in literally 1 episode, wasted no time. Some youtubers would use 20 episodes to do what you did.
To be fair, having a kit available that's made to fit that particular engine to that particular car helps a lot.

Yeah was going to say it certainly shows now that isn't just 2 guys! The edits were pretty high standard. MCM definitely got a media person onboard!
Must say I did feed them some criticism in some of their past vids. But this episode was very engaging! Great work if they keep this up they will get back all the subs they lost for sure!

@Shaun Huxtable My SS has a big cam and I’ve never had to do anything about emissions here in QLD. I’m not sure I’ve seen an LS swap without a cam upgrade here either.
I agree,when I think of an LS swap,I think of the “ Whumpty-Thumpty” of glass shattering idling bass exhaust bravado.....or is that a HEMI engine I’m thinking of ? 🤔 anyways,I digress....

Being almost a complete amateur every time I rebuild and/or swap an engine, it is always exciting when it purrs to life the first time. I'm glad they caught the moment.

If you haven't considered it, or couldn't readily find one, install a tower brace. This transplant has upset the weight distribution and with the previous rust damage shown, who knows what's up in the sandwich. If you can't find one, make one, Marty could probably whip one up in a jiffy.
I know this is gonna end up being a track car but seriously e30's are beautiful. A cruisey edit at nighttime when the cars clean would look amazing! Like a nice little throwback to songs like chasing midnight

Love you guys, I bought my first project car a year ago, a 92 Subaru SVX, and it's still not done. But that's because you guys keep putting out great new content all the time!
I'm legit waiting for the SVX value to skyrocket, MCM get on it before they're gone.
@@SilentKilla92 I got my 92svx running and driving with ac for 900$ in Florida like 130,000 miles, just ordered a mega squirt gold and plan on setting the first 10sec 1/4 before anyone else can fastest time slip I've seen was 12.6. So anything better than that. 900$ is a good deal on any car that's running and driving with ac in Florida.

@@camopaint0707 I rewatched it and I agree with you. They were going for a thing. It looks great on close up shots, but I still think the wide shots are too dark.
I love how they make content from one level to another that is just smooth. From high end stuff but then next episode they are back doing things in a garage. Never changed their "brand" of doing things, but they managed to include even more people entertain.

It's not a commodore engine its an American GM Chevrolet engine.

Meh, mine was pretty easy too. Primed the oil, put the injector fuse back in, then hit the start button and boom, fired right up. The beauty of modern electronics and engines lol.

Since SNØT bought this car i’m in love with it, and you guys did not only buy one.. but LS swapped it.. my god this must be a powerful monster.
Future episode suggestions: Show us how MUCH you can do with so LITTLE. For instance, try painting a car using that Ryobi air compressor in the background. show us how much you can get away with without having "proper equipment". That used to be one of the appeals of this show.
Maybe you should check out Garage54. They can paint cars with a pressure washer.
The E30 is one of my dream cars. You boys have done it justice by LS swapping it. Can't wait to see it in action. The best car channel bar none.

Meh. R30, R31, R32, R33, R34. The "R35" is just a fancy way of saying 'Here you go Americans. Here is your overweight "Skyline". When in reality its just a Infiniti G35 with a refreshed body and engine.
Not saying it's a bad car, but do a Skyline properly. It doesn't even have to be an R spec. 4-door twin turbo would look killer!
