Thanks to both of you for bringing up this fantastic video explaining about Backlog creation and management in ADO. Looking forward for more such videos from you both.
This is helpful. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I look forward to watching your other videos. Definitely want to see your forecasting video that you mentioned.
Great video, thank you both! I'm looking to understand how to close a sprint and take the incomplete tasks from a partially completed story onto the next sprint. Do you have a video that might explain this at all?
HI Vishal, there is a feature called "Split". On the taskboard, for each PBI you can click on three dots Or you can try to edit the PBI, you will find it. Split will split the PBI and create a new one with in-progress tasks as part of it. Older PBI will only have the Done tasks and you can mark the older PBI as done.
Thanks for your videos, they're very helpful. Is it possible to have a video on parent-child state change for work items on both sprint and story boards? I'll really appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
On the left navigation, Work items are those that are most active and what you worked on recently. Backlogs are hieratical (depending on the backlog level you're using) and all items in that team. - Mike
thank you for the video. I learned new things. Is there a way in ADO to prioritize the backlog by using a number other than the 1, 2, 3, 4 options in the Priority? If I have a rather small backlog and I want to go through the exercise of saying this is my most important item/issue/story/pbi down to the least important, is there a way to do it for ADO to display it that way? thank you
Thank you for this with US. How do you add the forecast tile to the backlog? How to you all people beside the sprint number on top right side? How About Adding 100 User Stories? How about the Time tracking? Its pretty much easier in Jira. Thanks
This was very helpful. Thanks for posting. I did have a question about the importing of work items. We are using Azure Dev Ops server---not the cloud offering. I am guessing the import work items feature is available in the cloud only? Do you know if there is an add in out there where I could get this functionality? Currently I can use excel and upload work items but it is more cumbersome than the example you showed.
Hi Kelly, thanks for the amazing and useful video. I am a scrum master for 3 teams and i am struggling to get the Drag and drop functionality to arrange my work items in Backlog. Can you please help me on how to get it enabled?
Hi Kelly and Mike, I hope you guys are doing well. I work as a RTE in a big company for more than 5 years now and I am currently facing some challenges with cross portfolio work management in ADO. I came up with a PoC that I would to share with you and maybe check if you guys have dealt with cross portfolio management before?

One quick question : How did you manage to get the sprints line/section in the backlog view ?
Very grateful for your videos
Thank you both! this is just so right...

Can I see linked issues on boards? Can I see how they are linked each other?
Hi there. How does one add in the sprint lines.
Really great info !

Kelly should invest about 20 bucks for a mic :D
Hi, is there a chance to drag and drop backlkog items like in Jira to change the priority?
What is the diffrence between Work items and Backlogs on the left side of the navigation pane?
On the left navigation, Work items are those that are most active and what you worked on recently. Backlogs are hieratical (depending on the backlog level you're using) and all items in that team.

Thank you for this with US. How do you add the forecast tile to the backlog?

Hello, how can I reach out to you for some business asks?
I see "Iteration" instead of "Sprint"/ How to change it?

I think the drag and drop is a feature limited to users with "Basic" access only.
Hello Kelly, I am curious to know how you were able to separate the backlog items into sprint lines.
Same here, I am looking for same capability. Kelly, Mike - are you able to answer this?
Oh yes please im struggling to figure that one out

Just curious, did you manage to get this off the ground.
Prioritization capabilities are tied to user licensing. Thank you for this information!
First! This is fantastic, guys!
Hierarchy Hi - eh - rah - key
The muffled audio and uptalking a rather distracting in this video.
Let the guy provide you his input. As a host, the mantra is to talk less and let the expert do the talking...
