    Does anyone else's Husky do that cute, high-pitched yawn sound when yawning? Mine also bites... and is very mischievous.

    I did exactly what other pups do when playing if he bites hard enough to hurt me/someone else I would imitate a yelp and he would stop quickly. Now he rarely bites and even when playing he's very careful not to bite too hard.

    Biting! The terror! I think once they learn how to communicate with ther fur mommies and daddy ohs the biting calms down. I feel we are doing better with our 8 month old. Shes a sweetheart ans her biting is mostly for attention. It's very important to spend lots of quality time when they are puppies because it will create stronger bonds with your pup and you will understand each other more. Of course, with some discipline training techniques to help out as well

      @jorgeirizarry5971 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@soph1508 I totally do not recommend to buy a Husky. You have to be prepare to have one of the worst dogs of the planet lol. I know eventually things are going to get better but it is an absolute pain to own a baby husky. You get affection from them and you can also hug them and kiss them but it goes accompanied by a lot of biting and pain. They don't listen and you know they know what's happening but they don't care. Once they grow up and learn I guess they are good but as babies they are pure pain. Also they are very strong even at a month old. My baby is almost 3 months old and he is very very strong. Make sure you know 100% what you are getting into. I got mine thru a breader, I had like 10 months to prepare and learn what I was getting into.

    Great vidio. I have a super biter/chewer. I got him at almost 8 months. He had his adult teeth. But he is a chewer distroyer. I've been using ropes and nylabones from the beginning. He's in the crate when I can't watch him. Still at 16 months. He loves his crate thankfully. He likes to get on the couch and bite at me. In the last few days he is sometimes laying on me or against me and not biting all the time. I've really enjoyed that. He is minding better. His vocabulary has increased. He's finally getting it. I've used a lot of your methods. Love your positive training methods. Thanks.

    Keep your laundry hamper in your closet and keep your shoes up on a shelf! Lol
    I have lost my fair share... and then some!
    Xoro loves using his teeth! 2 yrs old. But if you keep up with your training and do what this guy suggests... the biting subsides quite a bit. GET THOSE TOYS!!!

He pinch nips my fat rolls on my arm when i ignore him or keep distracting with a toy. He goes for feet and ankles when we walk down the hall which i stop and make him sit for a minute. He doesnt do half the stuff with my husband he does with me. Only thing i can think of is hubby is disabled and home all day while i leave for work 10 hrs a day and he gets OMG MOMMAS HOME YAAAY NOM NOM NOM! Hes also learning to sit patiently when we come in and out of the door so again improvement is happening. • @ms.m256
      @ms.m256 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Consistency and repetition does the trick, don't encourage hand play. When they start to bite, replace your hand with a toy. Any toys will do, the more variety the better. However I learned that variety sparks a huskys curiosity to keep biting. So stick to alwaus having something nearby, a toy to replace your hand. Eventually they will figure it out that your hand is not for biting. My husky is 8 months and she still bites only when she wants or needs something. The biting is not as hard its more gentle. I made it clear to her when she bites hard by showing im upset and in pain. Say the dog bites you, you want to say "ow!" And express your pain so they know they are hurting you. They can't speak human, so we got to teach them to understand us. Good luck !

    My little Tara used to bite sooo much. But toys and redirection helped nearly stop it. Instead if biting now, she wants me to literally hold my hand and walk with me to the kitchen, outside on walks, or show me something she wants, Not unlike a 2-3 year old child will do. If she does bite a little harder than a "hand hold" i stay still and say "no bite" until she calms down and lets go with a LOT of licks until we start to walk again.
    Lol.. Neighboed get so confused seeing me walk her like that when outside on the leash.
    But i also encourage pulling on walks. So.. Its a win as she gets tired faster.

      You know what brother does he show her whos the boss. and she stop biting him. he would put her down with force to the floor after a biting and she would definitely stop.
      I guess you just gotta show them whos the boss . they think they the alpha.

    Hey! Any advice for hard biting? My Husky Puppy is great, but would rather bite hands than his toys. Its not just a little bite, its more like tugging on a rope, but my hand. Alot of jaw pressure for only 10 weeks old. A Stern No, or a high pitch ouch doesnt seem to grab his attention.

      Thank you. I just hope at 4 months she is in the almost stops category. I watched this before but she doesn’t listen to ANYTHING! She just attacks me jumping on me and my head trying to bite more.
      I can’t stop her no matter what I and my husband try. We both have sleeves made out of bites and biting over bites which are taking weeks to heal. I am at the end of my wits. I am actually becoming afraid of her as she gets into the attacks position and attacks! Then I can’t redirect her as no matter what she continues.
      Please advice .
      Thank you. Love your videos and watch all of them. You make them fun.

    Whenever I was a chew toy, I would give a high pitched yip like the would from their litter mates. It made it so much easier when I had little humans with my little fuzballs. Everyone of mine has LOVED ropes. They love to chew them. They love to play tug a war with them. Throw it up and catch it

    Mine is 17 months now and has learnt his bite threshold so when we play he mouths me but my trainer has told me to stop that as if he can bite me he will think he can bite anyone ie kids and it could be dangerous. Thoughts?
