Hinweis: Für das Qualifying-Setup (Q) habe ich für mehr Stabilität die TC2 aktiviert! Um noch mehr Sicherheit zu erlangen, empfiehlt es sich, die TC weiter zu erhöhen (bis Stufe 9) - dann auch gerne mit ausgeschalteter TC2.
Note: I have activated TC2 in the qualifying setup (Q) for more stability! In order to gain even more safety, it is recommended to increase the TC further (up to level 9). TC2 can be switched off again in this case.
But in the video the TC is on 3/11 and no TC2.And you don't lost the stability? Thx for the video and the setup.
That is why I have written in the pinned comment above that the setup shared uses TC2 or what do you mean?

Amazing hotlap. I have so much to learn from your smooth driving. I just bought the 2023 GT3 pack thanks to your video :).
The DLCs are always worth the money in ACC! I would recommend not to start driving the 296 at Spa necessarily. You might not like it afterwards as it tends to get aggressive with a low wing, but the safer setup should be fine anyway!
@@Fri3d0lf Thanks Friedolf! I just tried several laps with the safe quali setup and the safe race setup and set my best times ever! It feels so much more natural for me than the Aston for some reason-- and I feel like if I make a mistake it's easier to correct-- maybe it's because these new setups are tuned for v1.9, but all I know is I'm loving the ferrari! I learn a lot from watching your hot laps as well :)

No worries, I am glad it helped! Spa is a bit harder to drive with the Ferrari, but you csn adjust the TC to your liking

Hab letztes Wochenende selber einiges SPA trainiert und Setup gebastelt als Vorbereitung für nächste Woche LFM 45er
Bin nach leichten Anfangsschwierigkeiten wieder auf meinen 2:17 mitte gelandet die ich auch in 1.8 mit dem Honda gefahren bin!
Werde morgen direkt mal deine Setups testen!
Vielleicht finde ich ja noch ein paar Zehntel!

Der Ferrari ist hier nicht ganz so angenehm zu fahren mit wenig Flügel. Dennoch kann er sehr schnell sein. Ich hoffe, dass du mit dem Setup noch etwas Zeit findest!

It does not necessarily feel like the easiest car to drive at Spa with low downforce, but it is fast for sure! I hope that you will be able to improve your lap time.

How would you adjust the race setup for longer stints? I was thinking a click of camber and adjust the toe to save rears. would love to know your thoughts. Cheers mate
Hello! In my opinion, toe and especially camber do not really affect tire wear at all. You might use more wing to make the car more stable. Other than that I am not sure if it is necessary to do noteworthy adjustments.

I have tried this setup. I almost alwas go off at eau rouge. Also when I do make it my top speed at the first chicane is 270 whereas you reach 274. It's an amazing lap with insane car control you did here. You seem to brake a little later and go on throttle earlier than I do everywhere. Lines are more or less similar yet my best was a 2.20.1. At this moment I am puzzled where 4 seconds laptime can be found 😀THanks for sharing.
Have you tried the safer setup? I know the Q one is slightly aggressive due to the low wing which the Ferrari does not seem to like. As soon as you have passed the first right hander in Eau Rouge, you must immediately straighten the steering wheel - I can imagine this being the biggest problem. If you go to the right too far and steer back to the left in order to get Raidillion, the car gets loose. It should be fine though with the Q2 setup, otherwise more wing will definitely solve that problem! 🙂
@@Fri3d0lf Yes indeed when I added 1 or 2 more wing I made it but I will try to make it with wing 4. It is clearly a skill issue haha 😀 Are you a pro driver if I may ask? That's quite some lap!!
I am not a pro driver. Depending on the track I am about 0.5s + slower compared to the top drivers. Hence I am not doing everything well either... Keep things up, I have experienced that practicing is what makes you faster automatically! 🙂

Thanks for this setup man! I rarely bother with setups as I don't play regularly and only against AI. However the default setups on SPA work really poorly for some reason with the car being very nervous through a lot of the corners making really difficult to follow the AI. With this setup tho the car is much more stable and I'm consistently lapping 1.5 seconds quicker with ease

Hello, it is Spa for the 45min races and Imola for the sprint series.
If I wanted to build from a 1.8 setup of yours to use in 1.9 with a non-DLC car, where do you think I should spend more of my time? What do you think has changed the most since the update? Tires, electronics, mechanical grip, suspension or aerodynamics.

Hello! The setups were quite "special" back in 1.8, but those excessive settings seem to work still. This does not mean that there is not a way to avoid doing that now in 1.9. Generally, I would not recommend to run as much negative toe, but rather set it positive again now at the rear. On top of thst the mechanical/ suspension settings might no longer work. Stiffer springs and more bumpstop rsnge might be the way to go there. I cannot really judge the dampers, bht I start to use MoTeC as a reference again now. Other than that the optimum tire pressure changed to a range from 26.0 psi to 27.0 psi which you might probably know.

würdest du von deinen setups für ein 15-20min rennen eher das quali oder das sprint setup empfehlen?
Ich würde das Sprint-Setup wählen, sofern du nicht die "Agressivität" des Quali-Setups benötigst und damit zwingend schneller bist.

Bist du das Spa-Setup auf dem Nürburgring gefahren? Mit so wenig Flügel macht das dort nämlich keinen Sinn. Für den Nürburgring gibt es bereits ein Setup aus der Anfangszeit von Version 1.9. 🙂

Thanks a lot! You might work with the base setup there - reduce the rear wing to something medium and adjust the ride heights at least.
As we were at it yesterday though with the BMW I have realised now that the M4 is not a DLC car and for free to everyone.

If you set the series to "open series" in the car selection, all the available cars are visible. The BMW M4 was part of the 1.8 update one and a half year ago.

No worries! I was not racing for a long time now as I am too busy with creating the setups already. I might think about something else like other games though as well maybe.
I cant go throug eau rouge without lossing the rear on the top of the hill or making an invalid lap... I watch your video and you do it so easily i cant undersand how you do it.I really cant with full throtle
The Ferrari gets quite unstable with a low wing. Just use the safe setup or at least add some wing. Other than it is the steering as you have to straighten the wheel as soon as you have taken the first right hander. If you steer up before Raidillion you might learn to fly apparently.
One quick advice is u have to very precise with ur steering here, both the amount of turning and the speed of turning. But I hope u already figured it out by now

I cannot judge that unfortunately. The physics should be identical, I am not sure about the BOP and hence about the lap times though.

I use 1080° in the driver of the wheel as well as in ACC. The game will adjust the steering angle to each car's value automatically.

No worries! If there is a track not uploaded yet, you can use an available setup from a similar track. For Barcelona it would be Silverstone or Kyalami maybe.

Just keep going, there is a lot of time to be found only through gaining experience while driving.
How would the race setup change for a 24 hour race?
I am not sure about that as it would require testing. The important thing is that you feel comfortable with the setup over a whole stint using a high fuel load. However, I would rather take the recently uploaded version as a basis.
@@Fri3d0lf I tried it out on a couple 20 min races and it seems to work for me. It's really all about the predicted weather and temperature to get things right. Pain in the butt to have all the pit presets prepared. I usually have a HOT, COLD, WET and adjust from there.
I cant put it under 2:22, but I drive on a PS4 controller..really hard to hold this car steady with a controller.
I cannot judge that as I have not driven with a controller yet. 😅

How the hell do you take radillon at full throttle? Every time I try it, the car just gets loose.
It is all about the steering - after Eau Rouge you must go straight. However, a higher rear wing will help.
@@Fri3d0lf Thanks, yeah. I did suspect that was the case but as yet I haven't pulled it off. Think I'll have to watch your run in slo-mo. Mind you, managed to shave almost 4 seconds off my best time with your Safe Qualy setup. Sub 2:20 for the first time.

I am using a wheel, so I am not sure how good it works with a mouse unfortunately.

Maybe because GT cars are driven with electronic aids (TC/ABS). 😅🙂

Great car , but it feels very unstable under strong braking.
The Ferrari always gets instable using a low wing. However, it is fast on the straight even with a high wing. I uploaded an updated version recently that uses more wing to increase stability.

I only see people using 5+ with TC2 off, even the really fast drivers. Not sure how to control the car with TC being set to 2 at all.
