I divorced a narcissistic nightmare, many years ago, with less than $10 in quarters to my name and two disabled children. The three of us survived for the better. As someone who went through something very similar many years ago, I can assure you that this too shall pass. Uncharitably, I used to say (to myself) that with any luck, he would pass too. (And when he did, much later, I cried.) Your children’s home is wherever you are, and your home will be wherever you land after this massive shakeup. These things I KNOW to be true. Hang in there Tina, I've been there, and it took 5 years of borderline poverty, and wondering some days if I would have enough to feed my children. It is tough times and, as others have commented who've been in similar situations, I have to say, it does get better. Sending thoughts and prayers for a quick and easy solution. Stay strong!
You do not have to apologize for not being able to put up a video, especially given the circumstances. Your mental health and family business must of course come first! Know that all of us here support you and care about you; the fear and stress are written all over your face, and we all want to just reach out and hug you! Life is hard for you right now, which is awful, and no amount of platitudes can make it easier. BUT- while we can see the anxiety, we can also see the strength inside you, we can see what a true lady you are, and that all you want is to take care of your kids. I cannot help but think any judge on the planet will be able to see these things also. I hope that venting here helped you some. My last bit of advice, for what its worth, is that going to court could be the best thing ever, since your lack of financial support from your ex will now be made public, so to speak, and hopefully things will backfire on him, forcing him to begin handling his responsibilities towards the children.

There is nothing that any of us can say that is going to make you feel less fearful about going to court. Let me just tell you that my ex-husband took me to court six times. He lost every one of those times, but each time was nerve-racking and painful. You will get through it. Regarding Gary‘s funeral, of course, you want to be there, but your letter to Gary‘s mother is going to mean so much more to her than your attending his funeral. She is going to have something that she can look at, and hold, read, and reread, and that is going to mean everything to her.

Right now, looking forward and around at what’s happening it looks and feels like trying to leap across the Grand Canyon… Looking at it AFTERward it will seem like a crack in the sidewalk. Ah my dear, you are not alone. How sad you have to juggle all this at the same time. Your friend knows and understands, I believe that. My mortgage payment and flood insurance have gone up almost $600.00 / month in the last year. I am also divorced, but ex is not in the picture. I too am probably going to,have to sell the house because it is becoming unaffordable as a senior citizen. Just know this too shall pass, and I hope things look brighter. Hi, Tina, I've been where you are many, many years ago. My ex continued the harassment for years. I walked away from the house. Took my kids and my car and left. The mortgage company went after him because they weren't going to squeeze anything out of me. He's only doing this to hurt you. Mine tried to take my kids. Thank God that didn't work. Wish I could contribute more, but realize YOU WILL BE OK. It may take time. And I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. Love and hugs to you. It is scary!
You WILL get through this, even though it may seem so insurmountable right now.❤20 years ago I was in a similar situation as yours and wondered how I would ever get through it and more importantly, how my children would fare. We survived and have eventually thrived. And you will too. Sadly, there is no friendship between my ex and I. When you cannot trust someone, there is no basis for a friendship. But life is good. I divorced a narcissistic nightmare, many years ago, with less than $10 in quarters to my name and two disabled children. The three of us survived for the better. As someone who went through something very similar many years ago, I can assure you that this too shall pass. Uncharitably, I used to say (to myself) that with any luck, he would pass too. (And when he did, much later, I cried.) Your children’s home is wherever you are, and your home will be wherever you land after this massive shakeup. These things I KNOW to be true. I, too, went through a difficult divorce and ended up with a jumble of feelings and not knowing what the future held or how I would EVER get through it. But, I did and so will you. Hang in there Tina, I've been there, and it took 5 years of borderline poverty, and wondering some days if I would have enough to feed my children. It is tough times and, as others have commented who've been in similar situations, I have to say, it does get better. Sending thoughts and prayers for a quick and easy solution.

You do not have to apologize for not being able to put up a video, especially given the circumstances. Your mental health and family business must of course come first! Know that all of us here support you and care about you; the fear and stress are written all over your face, and we all want to just reach out and hug you! Life is hard for you right now, which is awful, and no amount of platitudes can make it easier. BUT- while we can see the anxiety, we can also see the strength inside you, we can see what a true lady you are, and that all you want is to take care of your kids. I cannot help but think any judge on the planet will be able to see these things also. I hope that venting here helped you some. My last bit of advice, for what its worth, is that going to court could be the best thing ever, since your lack of financial support from your ex will now be made public, so to speak, and hopefully things will backfire on him, forcing him to begin handling his responsibilities towards the children.

There is nothing that any of us can say that is going to make you feel less fearful about going to court. Let me just tell you that my ex-husband took me to court six times. He lost every one of those times, but each time was nerve-racking and painful. You will get through it. Regarding Gary‘s funeral, of course, you want to be there, but your letter to Gary‘s mother is going to mean so much more to her than your attending his funeral. She is going to have something that she can look at, and hold, read, and reread, and that is going to mean everything to her.
Lovely message and I am sure you are right about the letter being more meaningful and lasting for Gary's mum....when everything on the day just seems unreal and you are rarely aware of who is there and who isn't, a heartfelt letter will give her much comfort 💜

My mortgage payment and flood insurance have gone up almost $600.00 / month in the last year. I am also divorced, but ex is not in the picture. I too am probably going to,have to sell the house because it is becoming unaffordable as a senior citizen.
Just know this too shall pass, and I hope things look brighter. The world is a crazy place for so many now. But perspective tells me we shall be ok. God bless.

Hi, Tina, I've been where you are many, many years ago. My ex continued the harassment for years. I walked away from the house. Took my kids and my car and left. The mortgage company went after him because they weren't going to squeeze anything out of me.
He's only doing this to hurt you. Mine tried to take my kids. Thank God that didn't work.

You WILL get through this, even though it may seem so insurmountable right now.❤20 years ago I was in a similar situation as yours and wondered how I would ever get through it and more importantly, how my children would fare. We survived and have eventually thrived. And you will too. Sadly, there is no friendship between my ex and I. When you cannot trust someone, there is no basis for a friendship. But life is good. And you WILL come through. Sending all my strongest thoughts for you for your day in court. Your friend will be watching over you.
