This lady is so intelligent. She blows me away intellectually and musically. Wow.
I so just love listening to her talk. She's so soft spoken and has such a calming presence. She also is just so intelligent and honest. In a world where it feels like every artist is trying to put on a persona it is so refreshing seeing someone be themselves and be comfortable with who they are.

Im 31 years old i love music i listen to everything, but how this gem has passed me by is so wierd, she is so different and her voice those high/low pitches woooow.♥im totally blown away by her talent
I bought my budgies when they were six weeks old. I listened to Lost on You, a lot. They loved when she whistled and learned her whistle. Now every time they hear her sing they go nuts! I just casually started to listen to this interview. Low and behold just hearing her voice they are going crazy. Somehow I need to let her know that two of her fans are two twin yellow Budgies and go crazy for her, even when she talks.

Maybe if her father hadn't told her what he did, she wouldn't have had the same motivation to prove him wrong and get where she got in life. I'm not saying what he did was ok, he was obviously a frustrated person himself, and, like she wisely put it: "be careful what you say to your kids."

I remember listening to lp the very first time and I was absolutely blown away by the tune 'lost on you', her amazing voice and just her presence. I never used to have a favourite but I do now. Yes, I agree... today's music sales have more to do with marketing and least important is the depth and complexity of their music and the emotion evoked... and then comes an artist like LP, OR RATHER, along we came to discover her. She's been shining her light in the world for decades, and I'm so thankful. Authenticity, talent, beauty, intelligence, genuine artistry and musicianship all in one unique person. LP gives an interesting interview. You could actually learn things. Great intelligence and awareness shows.
Great interviewer, giving LP the space to express herself. The conversation moves along organically. I feel lucky to have found LP back in '08, stumbling upon her video for Good With You. I immediately bought her catalog back to Heart Shaped Scar and have been enjoying all of her music since. Just love her individuality and authenticity.

LP writes lyrics which speak for those women whether those women are with men or with women....because LP gets women.
My ex-wife totally connected with her when she found LOST ON YOU.
LISTEN TO THE LYRICS...it is basically screaming..."why aren't you listening to me?..everything i do or say is lost on you".
In hindsight it should have been a massive sign of one thing to me...we were over and i just hadn't seen it...my ex had.
She pushed this album at me and practically rammed it in my face. LP's album LOST ON YOU is possibly right up there in this area of Alanis Morissette's JAGGED LITTLE PILL album...it is aimed directly at women(LP is a commercial songwriter).
So, as a man, do i connect with it...the answer is YES, TOTALLY.
The proof of that is because my ex is not with me by her choice...but LP's music IS...her song RECOVERY really helped me through some really hard times....and i am a guy.
Respect to LP...I really like her...and ironically was really reluctant to hand back LP's LOST ON YOU album to my ex.
This also hit's me from another angle as well. I am a songwriter myself..google anything lyrically on SONIC FOXX MUSIC, I totally get that after all of the rejection in all the years that LP was trying to MAKE IT...
...SHE DID, with blinding creativity.
Respect to that...i certainly have a crush on her outlook in life..and her acceptance of the time it takes to MAKE IT in the Music Industry.
