- A digital, 2D animation with traditionally drawn backgrounds that revolve around the act of consumption between a young boy and a shooting star. It's an exploration of techniques and reflection of my journey as an artist.

My interpretation would be that
The star is that one rush of creativity that flows through you. You look at it,feel it, then you make something out of it, in the end it rushes through you but then it goes away. It goes away because we don't have time or the energy to pursue any of our creative endeavours again. We get lost in life and our own sufferings that eventually the 'blues' get to us and we succumb to it. Finally we ourselves become an inspiration or source of creativity for someone. As a student in STEM who didn't want to be here and often doesn't explore her creative side now. This was extremely beautiful and touching

This is beautifully created art that i interpret this way-
The kid is all alone and starved of love, affection & validation. He sees the tiniest crumb of it on the ground and rushes (stooping so low) to quench himself. He finds himself in total darkness after what he thought he ate was a star (something so bright) but thats the truth...its lonely in space. And eventually the emptiness he feels from being lonely is so powerful it consumes him till he meets his end, and is finally, truly home.
The big house and the tiny human is sadly todays reality - no true connection, big houses fewer people living in it...the space between us is so much that we don't actually realize when that "space" turns into just plain distance.
i can understand your interpretation kinda, but what was the star? he was already lonely, what did the star do? the ending didn’t really signify anything to do with home for me.
your point on how it applies to the world puzzles me too- more people are moving to cities to smaller places with a lot less distance.
would it not be the other way around, the distance is a lot smaller, but people are isolating more with the internet so the space between them is bigger?
it doesn’t seem relevant to this animation to me
What I took away from this was the star is fame. Artists will get likes on their posts and even blowup in popularity, but they can't eat likes on a posts. The irony of some of the most popular artists don't have enough money to even eat.

this is CRIMINALLY underrated
The way you capture the pain of hunger is so visceral and powerful. Lines and shapes deteriorating, everything falling to pieces as you try to push it down. Beautiful work. This is one of those pieces of art that’s going to stick around in my mind.
this is so incredibly done. i connect with characters in animation such as this little guy so much. beautiful work, colors are so calming, the animation is great, sounds are so fitting, and visuals feel like an old childrens book which i love. cute animation 💙

What I took away is that the star is what people want, especially the poorer folks that are hungry but even even they reach the star it truely doesn’t make u happy but disfigure you. It’s like I am hungry So do I even chase it even if it doesn’t make me happy
So I think at the end of the day follow Jesus and help others

I sort of saw this as a metaphor for drugs in a way, and how it makes people feel.
We see the main character eat this random object they just found, not knowing where it’s been really. We see how in the beginning it felt amazing taking it, but not to long after we see the after effects beginning to die down, off of thier high as they sit there feeling worse then how they stared out. Not to mention how the stomach is portrayed in this, how it gets all weird and out of place because it knows it’s not supposed to have the star in it, it’s a bad substance. As well as some of the goop imagery and how we see the main character basically become a goop thing during their high, something not to far from what some peoples drug trips in real life.
But I don’t know, that’s all just me.
